Fresh off his Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in Silver Linings Playbook, Bradley Cooper is understandably fielding a rather high amount of interest at the moment. Just a couple of weeks ago we learned that Warner Bros. was developing the spy-thriller adaptation Dark Invasion as a star vehicle for the actor, and now the studio has set up yet another property for Cooper to headline. Deadline reports that WB has acquired author James Renner’s mystery novel The Man from Primrose Lane and will develop it as a star vehicle for Cooper.
The story centers on a true crime writer who becomes obsessed with investigating a serial killer known as “the man with a thousand mittens” (Mr. Rogers?). As he becomes further embroiled in the case, he realizes that in order to capture the killer “he must look outside the parameters of what he believed to be true about time and space.” I’m not really sure if this belongs under sci-fi, thriller, or both, but I’m sufficiently intrigued. Chad Feehan (Southland) will pen the script. Hit the jump to read the book synopsis.
