Previously, we brought you the first trailer for Brad Peyton’s Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and a behind-the-scenes featurette soon followed. They both showed off the beautiful scenery and creature effects of the sequel to Journey to the Center of the Earth, starring Brendan Fraser. Now we have some new character posters for you that showcase, not only the human stars, but other inhabitants of the island as well.
Journey 2: The Mysterious Island features the return of Josh Hutcherson as Sean Anderson, who is accompanied by his new stepfather (Dwayne Johnson) as they head off in search of Sean’s missing grandfather (Michael Caine). To get to “Mysterious Island,” the duo will need the helicopter pilot, Gabato (Luis Guzman) and his daughter, Kailani (Vanessa Hudgens) to help guide them. One of the major things that sucks about attending Comic-Con is, in the days and weeks after, hearing about and seeing all the cool stuff you missed. Take, for example, these bad ass Sucker Punch posters by Alex Pardee. These beauties were reportedly handed out on the floor and, from what we’ve already seen, do a gorgeous job of conveying the insane visuals and overt sexuality that seem to be prevalent in Zack Snyder’s action fantasy, which will be released March 25, 2011.
Out of all the stuff I saw at Comic-Con, the Sucker Punch footage was by far my favorite and short of having some of those epic images on my wall, these character posters would do just fine. Hit the jump to check them out:
Six new character posters for Universal’s Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World have been revealed on Pilgrim director Edgar Wright’s (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) Twitter feed in photographs taken at London Expo. The 6 posters give us a good look at Ramona Flowers’ 7 evil ex-boyfriends (one poster features both twins Ken and Kyle Katayanagi) who we first saw in the teaser trailer released a few months back. On that note, Wright has promised to release the first non-teaser trailer once the Pilgrim Facebook page get’s 100,000 “likes”, so if that’s something that interests you, click here. Hit the jump for the posters, what the posters mean for the film’s marketing and full synopsis of the film if you’re just tuning in.
