We’re happy to debut a batch of exclusive new images from the upcoming action-comedy The Baytown Outlaws today. Written and directed by Barry Battles, the film follows three ruthless brothers who fall into helping a damsel in distress (Eva Longoria) by rescuing her godson (Thomas Brodie Sangster) from her nefarious ex-husband, Rob (Billy Bob Thornton). It looks like a pretty wild pic, and these images highlight the cast of characters that also includes Quentin Tarantino staple Zoe Bell (Death Proof). Here’s the trailer.
Hit the jump to check out the new images. The film also stars Clayne Crawford, Michael Rapaport, Daniel Cudmore, Travis Fimmel, Serinda Swan, Andre Braugher and Paul Wesley. The Baytown Outlaws is currently available VOD and hits theaters on January 11th.

News has been quiet Southern-fried action comedy The Baytown Outlaws ever since the title change from The Baytown Disco back in June, but a new trailer has dropped today to remind you that it still exists. Written and directed by Barry Battles, The Baytown Outlaws follows three ruthless brothers who fall into helping a damsel in distress (Eva Longoria) by rescuing her godson (Thomas Brodie Sangster) from her nefarious ex-husband, Rob (Billy Bob Thornton). This is also the film that renowned producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura told us to keep an eye on during a recent set visit and compared Battles’ work to that of a young Quentin Tarantino.
The Baytown Outlaws also stars Clayne Crawford, Michael Rapaport, Daniel Cudmore, Travis Fimmel, Andre Braugher and Paul Wesley. Hit the jump to watch the new trailer.

We previously brought you some first images, posters and this kick-ass trailer for Barry Battles’ The Baytown Disco, but now you can forget about them. In a new distribution deal, the film is now titled The Baytown Outlaws and will, as such, presumably feature a new marketing campaign in the coming months. The Southern-fried comedy stars Billy Bob Thornton, Eva Longoria and Andre Braugher. The Baytown Outlaws aims to debut early in 2013. Hit the jump to read the press release.

We first heard about Married and Cheating last year, when Sarah Jessica Parker and Marissa Tomei were attached to star. It’s taken a year or so for the rest of the cast to come together, but the project from writer/director Raymond De Felitta (City Island) is finally gaining traction. Variety reports Parker is still on board to star opposite Brendan Fraser, while Kiefer Sutherland and Eva Longoria are in talks to join the cast. The story follows three couples who deal with “infidelity, deceit, and confusion.” There is still room in the three couples for another female lead, but since the report does not mention Tomei, I bet she moved on.
Felitta will shoot Married and Cheating this summer for Magnet Media. This is the first of six $10-$50 million productions financed through a $190 million fund set up by Magnet’s German arm. Michael London, Lauren Versel, and Janice Williams are producing along with Magnet’s Jeannette Buerling and Michelle Ohayon.

The first trailer has jumped online for Billy Bob Thornton-starrer, The Baytown Disco. A self-professed “Southern-fried whip-ass extravaganza,” The Baytown Disco features a trio of ruthless outlaw brothers who fall into helping a damsel in distress (Eva Longoria). She hires them to help return her godson (Thomas Brodie Sangster), who has been kidnapped by her nefarious ex-husband, Rob (Thornton). While I wasn’t exactly sold on the synopsis and images alone, the new trailer hits all the right banjo strings (and the femme fatales certainly do not hurt). Directed by Barry Battles, The Baytown Disco also stars Clayne Crawford, Michael Rapaport, Daniel Cudmore, Travis Fimmel, Andre Braugher and Paul Wesley. Hit the jump for the trailer and official synopsis, and to watch the original short that inspired the feature-length film.

A number of actors are set to star in the action thriller The Truth. Andy Garcia, Forest Whitaker, and Eva Longoria are poised to star in the pic, written and directed by Damian Lee (King of Sorrow). The story centers on an ex-CIA operative (Garcia) who is now working as a political talk show host. He’s approached by a corporate whistle blower to “expose her company’s cover-up of a massacre in a South American village.” Deadline reports that the cast also includes Kim Coates, Deborah Kara Unger, Kevin Durand, Devon Bostick, Lara Daans, and Steven Bauer. Garcia, Coates, and Jeff Sackman are executive producers on the project. Production begins later this month in Ontario and Puerto Rico. Whitaker is currently filming the actioner The Last Stand alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Daniel Cudmore (Twilight: New Moon), Travis Fimmel (TV’s The Beast), and Andre Braugher (TV’s Men of a Certain Age) have joined Billy Bob Thornton and Eva Longoria in the Southern comedy The Baytown Disco. Directed by Barry Battles, the film follows three brothers who, as usual, get more than they bargained for when they agree to help a woman get her son back from his abusive father. Serinda Swan, Clayne Crawford, Thomas Sangster and Meagan Good also star.
THR reports that Cudmore, Fimmel and Crawford will star as the trio of brothers. The script, by Battles and Griffin Hood, made the 2009 Black List. The Baytown Disco is set to start filming on May 2nd in Louisiana.

As he does every year following the Oscars, Jimmy Kimmel had some star-studded sketches for his post-Oscar episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. While this year wasn’t quite as good as the Handsome Men’s Club, it’s tough to argue with watching gorgeous actresses like Scarlett Johansson and Sofia Vergara engage in a new work-out regimen called “Humpilates”. Basically, Kimmel and his writers found an excuse to have some of Hollywood’s most beautiful actresses hump exercise balls bearing the word “hobo”. I have no problem with that.
Kimmel also ran a fake trailer for an American adaptation of The King’s Speech called The President’s Speech, where Sir Mike Tyson helps George W. Bush overcome his constant verbal gaffes. Hit the jump to check out both sketches.
