A couple days ago, we got some cool images from Bong Joon-ho‘s Snowpiercer, which showcased the film’s setting, a post-apocalyptic train divided into classes. A new trailer has been released highlighting the revolution the lower classes are bringing against the passengers at the front, and there are also new images and six new featurettes that take us even deeper into the movie. They provide interviews with the actors, Bong, and the South Korean crew members. Unfortunately, only the interviews with the English-speaking actors are in English—there are no English subtitles for the Korean speakers. However, these featurettes are still worth watching, and one of them gives us our first look at Alison Pill, who we hadn’t seen in either posters or passports. We learn that she plays a teacher in one of the upper classes of the train.
Hit the jump to check out the trailer and featurettes. The film also stars Chris Evans, John Hurt, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, Alison Pill, Ed Harris, Ewen Bremner, Octavia Spencer, Kang-ho Song, and Ko Asung. Snowpiercer opens in South Korean on August 1st. No U.S. release date has been announced.
Check out some new featurettes for the following films:
- Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 – Featuring the voices of Bill Hader, Anna Faris, Andy Samberg, Neil Patrick Harris, Benjamin Bratt, Terry Crews, James Caan, Will Forte and Kristen Schaal, the Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn-directed sequel opens September 27th.
- The Lone Ranger – Starring Armie Hammer in the title role and
Jack Sparrow Johnny Depp as Tonto, Gore Verbinski’s Western action-adventure rides into theaters on July 3rd.

HBO has released a couple of featurettes that center around the most recent episode of Game of Thrones (read Allison’s recap here). While the network regularly posts such featurettes after the most recent episodes of some of their shows, these two are of particular interest given the surprising turn of events that occurred in “The Rains of Castamere.” We see series creators/showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff discuss the episode and how the corresponding chapter in the book was one of the main reasons they wanted to turn Game of Thrones into a TV series in the first place, and we also see them talk about the emotional impact of actually filming the episode.
Hit the jump to watch the trailer, but beware of major spoilers for “The Rains of Castamere,” obviously. The season finale of Game of Thrones airs on HBO this coming Sunday, June 9th.
We’ve got three new featurettes for you today from a variety of pictures:
- Silver Linings Playbook – A 30-minute “making of” featurette that gets to the heart of mental illness as portrayed by Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence in the Oscar-nominated David O. Russell film.
- Stoker – Commentary on the characters of Park Chan-wook’s dark family portrait drama that stars Nicole Kidman, Mia Wasikowska and Matthew Goode. Stoker opens in limited release March 1st.
- Olympus Has Fallen – Behind-the-scenes of Antoine Fuqua’s latest actioner starring Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman. Olympus Has Fallen opens March 22nd.

If you want to get a little behind-the-scenes action with Ryan Gosling and Jason Statham, we have just the thing for you! Two new action film featurettes debuted today. One shows off additional footage plus comments from the cast and crew of Gangster Squad, Ruben Fleischer’s crime drama starring Gosling, Josh Brolin, Sean Penn and Emma Stone. The other featurette is for Parker, director Taylor Hackford’s crime thriller adaptation that stars Statham as a criminal with a code and Jennifer Lopez as his newest assistant. Both films, coincidentally, star Nick Nolte, so that’s fun.
Gangster Squad opens January 11th and Parker follows two weeks afterwards on January 25th. Hit the jump to check out both featurettes.
If are looking for some Hobbit content, you came to the right place because I have something for all tastes:
- A featurette sponsored by Denny’s that understandably focuses on the boorish feast of the dwarfs.
- Four posters.
- An image of Bilbo (Martin Freeman), Fili (Dean O’Gorman), and Kili (Aidan Turner)
- Set photos that provide our first look at Luke Evans as Bard the Bowman.
Hit the jump for everything. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey kicks off the trilogy on December 14. [Update: We've removed the unofficial images.]
You only have to wait a little over a week before you can see Rich Moore’s Wreck-It Ralph in theaters, but if that’s just too long to bear, we have two new behind-the-scenes featurettes to share with you today. Both of them showcase commentary from the voice cast of John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer and Jane Lynch, along with Moore himself. One even touches on the excellent use of music throughout the film, from such artists as Skrillex and Owl City. Both also show a bunch of new footage (keep an eye out for Easter eggs and nods to other famous gaming properties).
Wreck-It Ralph, also featuring the vocal talents of Alan Tudyk, debuts November 2nd in 3D. Hit the jump to see the new featurettes.
In the newest clip released for Sam Mendes’ James Bond flick, Skyfall, Bond (Daniel Craig) is up to old habits: namely gambling and womanizing. This thirty-second spot shows Bond playing cavalier with his hard-earned winnings and introduces him to Severine (Berenice Marlohe). They must have hit it off since they later meet up for a refreshing Heineken on a passenger train. We also have the first look at Harald Zwart’s The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones in a behind-the-scenes featurette with cast interviews.
Skyfall, also starring Judi Dench, Ben Whishaw, Helen McCrory, Ralph Fiennes and Naomie Harris, opens November 9th stateside. The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones stars Lily Collins, Lena Headey, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Kevin Durand and opens August 23rd, 2013. Hit the jump to check out the clip and featurette.
Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis will duke it out in the upcoming comedy The Campaign, and six clips, 10 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage, and over 25 new high-resolution images from the pic have been released. Ferrell stars as an incumbent congressman who is surprisingly challenged by the green and inexperienced Galifianakis in a North Carolina race. Jay Roach (Recount, Austin Powers) directs the pic, which takes the ridiculousness of American politics to another level. Ferrell and Galifianakis appear to be having a blast, and I’m looking forward to seeing the two take on the world of politics with gusto.
Hit the jump to check out the cilps, featurettes, and images, and if you missed any of our set visit coverage click here. The film also stars Jason Sudeikis, Dylan McDermott, Dan Aykroyd, Brian Cox, and John Lithgow. The Campaign opens on August 10th.
The release date for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus is so damn close, but we’ve still got nearly two weeks to go. It’s been a tough road of anticipation, but the finish line is in sight, folks. In the meantime, two new featurettes for the film have gone online to whet fans’ appetites. The first one, entitled “The Vision of Prometheus”, features Scott and some of the actors (including Guy Pearce) talking about the larger themes of the film, shooting in 3D, and more. The second featurette focuses on the character played by Logan Marshall-Green and gives us a bit of insight into what his role in the film will entail.
Hit the jump to check out the featurettes. The film also stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, and Idris Elba. Prometheus opens in 3D on June 8th.
