Over the past few months, we’ve heard a number of different titles (Fast Six, Furious 6) for the 6th installment in the Fast and Furious franchise. But thanks to the studio releasing the first poster, we know it’s officially called Fast and Furious 6. While I understand the logic in that title, I think Furious 6 sounds a lot cooler.
As we learned the other day when we posted the synopsis, the new film has Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) trying to stop a group of mercenary drivers led by an unnamed mastermind (Luke Evans) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). Hobbs recruits Dom (Vin Diesel) and his crew to help bring down the criminal outfit, and in exchange will provide pardons for the Rio heist. The film also stars Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky, and Gina Carano. Hit the jump to check out the first poster and come back tomorrow to check out the first footage from the film.

In this weekend’s Bullet To The Head, Sarah Shahi (Fairly Legal) and Sung Kang (The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift) co-star opposite Sylvester Stallone as his daughter and ‘partner’ respectively, the twosome forming an unlikely romance much to Sly’s chagrin. After Taylor Kwon’s (Kang) corrupt police partner is murdered, he teams up with the betrayed hit-man responsible (Stallone) to uncover who put the hit on in the first place. As the duo get closer to those responsible (Christian Slater, Jason Momoa, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), the villains attempt to get some leverage of their own turning their sights onto Sly’s estranged daughter Lisa (Shahi).
In the following interview with Shahi and Kang, the twosome talk working opposite Stallone, what drew them to the project and breaking conventional stereotypes. In addition, Kang discusses his ‘tragic’ Fast and Furious character Han and what to expect in Furious Six. For the full interview, hit the jump.
We’re still not 100% sure if the new Fast & Furious movie is entitled “Fast & Furious 6” (it could be “Fast Six“, “Furious Six“, or maybe even my personal prediction, Fast Cars Go Boom Now), but no matter what it ends up being called, we now have the first synopsis. The new film has Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) trying to stop a group of mercenary drivers led by an unnamed mastermind (Luke Evans) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). Hobbs recruits Dom (Vin Diesel) and his crew to help bring down the criminal outfit, and in exchange will provide pardons for the Rio heist.
Hit the jump for the full synopsis, and look out for the first trailer during the Super Bowl. The film also stars Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky, and Gina Carano. Fast & Furious 6 opens May 24th.
Dallas is back on TNT for a second season of back-stabbing, plot-scheming and blackmailing fun. Just like its original incarnation, the drama centers on the Ewing clan, an enormously wealthy Texas family whose sibling rivalries, romantic betrayals, corruption and even murder are truly legendary. The show stars Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong and Mitch Pileggi.
During this recent exclusive phone interview with Collider, actress Jordana Brewster, who plays Christopher’s (Metcalfe) love and business partner Elena Ramos, talked about how much she has enjoyed seeing her character come into her own this season, where her heart is at now, her hopes for a wedding, who the bigger threat is, getting to see more of Elena’s family this season, and how the absence of Larry Hagman (with his passing on November 23, 2012) will affect the show. She also talked about how excited she is for the Fast and Furious 6 (Furious 6) trailer to debut during the Super Bowl on February 3rd (it will be her first time seeing any footage from the film), how the fans won’t be let down this time around, and that the stunts in this one will one-up the last one yet again. Check out what she had to say after the jump.
