Another batch of images from the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 have landed online, and they appear to be a continuation of the sequence that was snapped yesterday involving Spidey, a bus, and Paul Giamatti’s villain Rhino. In these new images, Andrew Garfield’s titular character comes face-to-face with Giamatti’s villainous Rhino and the two become involved in a bit of a skirmish that ends, well, somewhat cartoonishly.
Hit the jump to take a look at the images. The film also stars Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan, Shailene Woodley, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, and Sally Field. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens in 3D on May 2, 2014.
Marc Webb is a talented director, but his true talent may lie in tweeting. Webb has tweeted a number of great behind-the-scenes photos from the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The latest Webb tweets give us a much clearer introduction to Paul Giamatti as Aleksei Sytsevich (aka the Rhino) after a grainy set photo previewed the makeup.
Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan, Shailene Woodley, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, and Sally Field also star. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens May 2, 2014. See the full image after the jump.
Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim is rapidly becoming my most-anticipated film of the year, and if their marketing scheme continues to be this enticing, I don’t see that changing any time soon. Not only do we have new character posters of stars Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam and Rinko Kikuchi to share with you today, but we have the first look at sample pages from the graphic novel, Pacific Rim: Tales from Year Zero, which was written by screenwriter Travis Beacham. If that weren’t enough, Warner Bros. has provided fans with an online Jaeger designer for use in the upcoming training sessions at the film’s viral website. You can design up to four Jaegers and save/share your creation in place of the Jaegers seen in the official artwork. I don’t often geek out, but when I do, it’s over Pacific Rim! Hit the jump to check it all out.

Hit the jump to peruse the gallery of images. The series also stars Ryan Kwanten, Joe Manganiello, Rutina Wesley, Sam Trammell, Deborah Ann Woll, Carrie Preston, Todd Lowe, Nelsan Ellis, Michael McMillian, Lucy Griffiths, Lauren Bowles, Chris Bauer, Kelly Overton, Rob Kazinsky, and Amelia Rose Blaire. Season six of True Blood premieres on HBO Sunday June 16th at 9pm/8c.
Fresh off the release of an extended 12-minute featurette, a new UK trailer and a batch of new images from director Steven Soderbergh’s upcoming Liberace film Behind the Candelaba have landed online. The plot centers on the tempestuous relationship between the musician (Michael Douglas) and his lover Scott Thorson (Matt Damon) throughout their secretive five-year love affair that began in 1977. This UK trailer goes deeper into the film’s story, as we see the beginnings of the relationship and start to see some of the great interplay between Douglas and Damon. You can go ahead and wrap up Douglas’ Emmy right about now.
Hit the jump to watch the trailer and to see the new images. The film also stars Rob Lowe, Debbie Reynolds, Scott Bakula, Dan Aykroyd, Cheyenne Jackson, Paul Reiser, and Boyd Holbrook. Behind the Candelabra will premiere on HBO on May 26th at 9pm/8c.
A new batch of images from the set of director Jonathan Liebeseman’s (Battle: Los Angeles) reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has landed online, giving us our first look at the actors playing the turtles. As previously reported, the titular characters will be created using performance capture technology, and in these images we see the film’s cast wearing turtle-shaped mo-cap suits complete with mo-cap shells. We also get a new look at Megan Fox as April O’Neill and Will Arnett as…a character we don’t know just yet. It’s admittedly unfair to judge a film like this without seeing what the finished turtles look like, but everything about this reboot just seems really sad. The prospect of William Fichtner as Shredder is certainly promising, so here’s hoping TMNT is a pleasant surprise.
Hit the jump to check out the set images. The film also stars Danny Woodburn, Alan Ritchson, Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard, and Noel Fisher. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles opens on June 6, 2014.
Director Wes Ball’s adaptation of James Dashner’s novel The Maze Runner isn’t due out until February 14th of next year, but we have the first look at some concept art from the film today. Created by Ball, who made his career in visual effects, this image was used to inspire him in his vision for the film. The story centers on a group of teens who appear in an area known as The Glade but have no memory when they wake up. The only way out appears to be through a shifting maze of massive walls that harbor dangerous creatures known as Grievers. Only Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) holds the secret to their escape. Hit the jump to check out the movie’s concept art along with a visually-similar animated short film from Ball.
Warner Bros. has released a bounty of high-resolution images from director Todd Phillips’ upcoming comedy sequel The Hangover Part III. The film acts as the trilogy capper to the popular franchise, and finds Stu (Ed Helms), Phil (Bradley Cooper), and Doug (Justin Bartha) en route to taking Alan (Zach Galifianakis) to a psychiatric hospital when the gang is side-trekked when a mysterious man (John Goodman) kidnaps Doug and forces the wolf pack to track down Mr. Chow (Ken Jeong), who stole $21 million from Goodman’s character. These images tease the chaos that ensues, including the return of a more grown-up Carlos and stripper Jade (Heather Graham).
Hit the jump to check out all of the images, and if you missed our set visit coverage click here. The film also stars Jeffrey Tambor, Melissa McCarthy, and Mike Epps. The Hangover Part III opens on May 23rd.
Interest is running high for Warner Bros.’ upcoming Superman film Man of Steel, and understandably so. The most recent trailer turned even the most hardened cynics (mostly with regards to director Zack Snyder) into cautious optimists, and early buzz on the film is incredibly positive. Producer Christopher Nolan’s influence is clearly felt within the pic’s more grounded and serious take on the character, and even though Snyder is the film’s director, many have posited that Nolan had a heavy hand in making the pic. Nolan himself has previously stated that he was responsible for shepherding the film through development but took a more hands-off approach once actual filming began, and now star Henry Cavill has spoken up to note that Man of Steel is very much Zack Snyder’s film.
Hit the jump to see what Cavill had to say, and to check out some new images from the film courtesy of a couple of Man of Steel calendars. The film opens in 3D on June 14th.
Just one week away from the release of J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness in IMAX 3D, we’ve got two new images featuring some of the cast from the sci-fi sequel. There’s a nice touch on the iconic color-coded costumes worn by Chris Pine, Alice Eve and Zachary Quinto, plus a peek at Karl Urban.
Also starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, John Cho and Anton Yelchin, Star Trek Into Darkness opens in IMAX 3D on May 15th and in 2D and 3D on May 16th. Hit the jump to check out the two new images.
When the first bit of footage from the set of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot is star Megan Fox jumping on a trampoline, you’d be within your rights to throw all credibility out the window. But for those of you who like that sort of thing, we now have video of said same event, plus new images that reveal the logo for director Jonathan Liebesman’s remake and Fox in her more April O’Neil-appropriate attire.
Also starring Will Arnett, Danny Woodburn, Alan Ritchson, Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard, and Noel Fisher, Ninja Turtles opens on June 6, 2014. Hit the jump to check out the new set images and video.
It’s an exciting year for movies for a number of reasons, but surely at the top of the list is the fact that we have a new Coen brothers film headed our way. The prospect of seeing a new feature from brothers Joel and Ethan is thrilling in and of itself, but Inside Llewyn Davis is all the more promising given that it sees the Coens tooling around in the 1960s Greenwich Village folk music scene. A batch of new images has landed online ahead of the film’s Cannes Film Festival debut later this month, giving us full-color looks at some previously released black-and-white images as well as a couple of wholly new photos that highlight stars Oscar Isaac, Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan, and a smile-inducing appearance by Girls standout Adam Driver wearing a cowboy hat. I seriously cannot wait to see this movie.
Hit the jump to take a look at the new images. Inside Llewyn Davis will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival later this month and is slated for a December 6th theatrical release.
