A new featurette and TV spot for the concluding chapter in the Twilight franchise, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, have been released.  The TV spot doesn’t look like it includes any new footage, but the featurette provides a pretty cool look at the film’s big action effects and stunt work.  A good deal of the featurette is also devoted to the cast trying to explain the ridiculous plot, which involves a governing group of vampires getting angry with Kristen Stewart’s Bella and Robert Pattinson’s Edward because they did the nasty and made a baby.

Hit the jump to check out the featurette and TV spot.  Directed by Bill Condon, the film also stars Taylor Lautner, Mackenzie Foy, Peter Facinelli, Ashley Greene, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz and Jackson Rathbone.  The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 opens November 16th.

Final Trailer for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2

A new trailer for the final entry in the Twilight franchise, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, has been released.  If you’ve been waiting patiently to see Kristen Stewart viciously tackle a mountain lion, your moment has come.  This trailer focuses on Stewart’s newfound vampire powers and sets up the major conflict in the film: the vampire government (cult?) the Volturi is angry because they think Bella and Edward created a vampire baby by biting a child, which is apparently frowned upon in the Twilight universe.  As we all know, Renesmee is the fruit of some good old fashioned baby-makin’, but I guess instead of trying to sort out this misunderstanding, the two factions of vampires—and Jacob—decide it’s better to go to war.  The drama and action levels look to have been upped considerably for this finale, and fans of the book series will likely be pleased with the results.

Hit the jump to watch the trailer.  Directed by Bill Condon, the film also stars Robert Pattinson, Mackenzie Foy, Taylor Lautner, Peter Facinelli, Ashley Greene, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz, and Jackson Rathbone.  The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 opens November 16th.

The first time I attended Comic-Con was the first time Twilight came to the massive geek gathering.  I can still hear the shrieks, probably because I was in Hall H for the franchise’s final installment, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.  This year’s panel began on a somber note, and there was a brief moment of silence for the Twilight fan who died on Tuesday.  After the moment of silence, lead actors Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner were brought to the stage and met with the cheers they’ve always received at Comic-Con.  The trio are joined by Mackenzie Foy, who plays Renesmee.  Author Stephanie Meyer then takes the stage, making this her first Hall H appearance since the first movie.  We then get a special video message from director Bill Condon, who’s currently in London working on the sound mix for Part 2.  He tells the audience that the best way to start this panel is to pick up where Breaking Dawn – Part 1 left off.  Hit the jump for my full recap of the panel.

While the Twilight franchise may be winding down, fans still have one last feature film to look forward to later this year.  Director Bill Condon recently posted a brief letter to fans on Facebook in order to explain the reshoots that will take place in a couple of weeks.  Condon quickly assuaged any fears of a delay of the theatrical release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 by stressing the technical need for these reshoots; no new scenes or dialogue will be added.  Condon also hints that a new trailer will be released soon for fans to “decode,” and calls the first posters for the film “unlike any Twilight images you’ve seen before.”  The finale of the Twilight saga, starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, opens November 16th.  Hit the jump to read Condon’s letter.

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1 Jacob Trailer

by     Posted: October 27th, 2011 at 1:56 pm

A new trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 has been released. This trailer focuses on the character Jacob, so we can reasonably expect more character trailers to be released leading up to the film’s premiere. Taylor Lautner is all angsty and pouty in the trailer, pining for Kristen Stewart who’s now been ruined by Robert Pattinson’s seed. Also, Stewart’s sickly appearance is a PSA for anyone hoping to get impregnated by a vampire. If you missed the behind-the-scenes featurette we posted earlier today, you can check that out here.

Hit the jump to watch the trailer. The film also stars Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, and Kellan LutzThe Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 opens November 18th.

Jackson Rathbone and Aimee Teegarden Interview AIM HIGH

Jackson Rathbone and Aimee Teegarden Interview AIM HIGH slice

On the new Facebook and Cambio 6-part web series Aim High, premiering on October 18th, Nick Green (The Twilight Saga star Jackson Rathbone) is a top agent for the U.S. government. He’s effective, clever and deadly, and a 16-year-old high school student. And, if all of that wasn’t tough enough, Nick is interested in Amanda (Friday Night Lights star Aimee Teegarden), a cool rocker chick dating the captain of the school’s championship swim team. With a look and feel equal to the quality of any TV show or big screen movie, this fully interactive web series certainly seems like a sign of things to come.

At a press day to promote Aim High, co-stars Jackson Rathbone (who is also a producer on the series) and Aimee Teegarden spoke to Collider for this exclusive interview about how this project came about for both of them, how the idea of the personalization aspect is really going to change the way that people consume entertainment, training to play a top spy, and what makes high school more difficult than being a teenage assassin. They both also talked about closing the recent chapters in their own lives – with Rathbone finishing the Twilight Saga films, and Friday Night Lights coming to a close on television for Teegarden – and how bittersweet it was to say goodbye. Check out what they had to say after the jump.
