Production Wraps on Quentin Tarantino’s DJANGO UNCHAINED
by Adam Chitwood Posted 329 days ago

Quentin Tarantino has finally completed principal photography on his latest feature, Django Unchained, merely months before the film is scheduled to be released. Producer Stacey Sher announced the news on her Facebook page, noting that filming lasted 126 days (or 130, apparently depending on who’s counting) and took place in Simi Valley, California, Wyoming’s frozen Grand Tetons, the Alabama Hills in California, and “the swamps and plantations” of New Orleans.
Though some may be worried that QT only has a short amount of time to put the film together before it hits theaters, it’s common for productions to simultaneously edit footage while filming is still taking place. Hit the jump for more, including Sher’s full statement on the production wrap.
