A new trailer for director Kees Van Oostrum’s A Perfect Man is now available. The Amsterdam-set dramedy centers on a philandering man named James (Liev Schreiber) and his attempts to understand women through his phone conversations with Nina (Jeanne Tripplehorn). It sounds like a your run-of-the-mill romantic dramedy at first glance, but when Nina is revealed to be someone very different from what James expected, it adds a nice twist to the tale.
A Perfect Man also stars Joelle Carter, Louise Fletcher, Katie Carr and Mahler, starring as Larry the Dog. Hit the jump to watch the trailer.
Earlier this year, we brought you the news that Tom Hanks would be bringing an original creation to Yahoo! in the form of the company’s first ever scripted series, Electric City. The first teaser trailer for the project is now available. The animated sci-fi project, produced through Reliance Entertainment and Hanks and Gary Goetzman’s Playtone, will also feature Hanks in the voice cast. Yahoo! looks to start airing the approximately 20, four-minute-long episodes starting July 17th. Hit the jump to check out the teaser trailer and read up on the details of Electric City in the press release.
Hollywood has figured something out, which is that even if you spend a shit-ton of money on a film, that in and of itself can attract an audience. It’s hard to look at the relative success of Waterworld at the box office as anything more than rubbernecking on the freeway, and it was worthwhile for many who had grown tired of Kevin Costner. My review of Waterworld after the jump.
