With director Shawn Levy’s The Internship opening this weekend, 20th Century Fox recently held a press junket at Google where we were able to speak with the cast. If you’re not familiar with The Internship, the film re-teams Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn as two out-of-work salesmen who attempt to reinvent themselves by competing against young up-and-comers for an internship at Google. The film also stars Rose Byrne, Dylan O’Brien, B.J. Novak, and John Goodman. For more on the film, watch these clips.
During the interview, they talked about finding the right tone and how the movie is not dark or cynical, relationships, Quidditch, what they learned about Google that first surprised them, future projects, and more. Hit the jump to watch.
With director Shawn Levy’s The Internship opening June 7th, I recently landed an extended video interview with Josh Gad and Jessica Szohr. If you’re not familiar with The Internship, the film reteams Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn as two out-of-work salesmen who attempt to reinvent themselves by competing against young up-and-comers for an internship at Google. The film also stars Max Minghella and Rose Byrne. For more on The Internship, here’s my set visit and on set interviews with Levy, and Wilson and Vaughn.
During the interview, Gad and Szohr talked about meeting on set, filming with the cast, what was it like filming at Google. what aspects of their technology impressed them the most, how they filmed when they didn’t know if the movie would be PG-13 or R, what it was like working with Vaughn and Wilson, and much more. In addition, Gad talked about his upcoming voice work in Me and My Shadow and Frozen. Hit the jump to watch.
20th Century Fox has provided us with a number of new images from director Shawn Levy‘s The Internship, and a few of them are exclusive. If you’re not familiar with The Internship, which opens June 7th, the film reteams Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn as two out-of-work salesmen who attempt to reinvent themselves by competing against young up-and-comers for an internship at Google. The film also stars Max Minghella, Rose Byrne, Dylan O’Brien, and Jessica Szohr.
Last year I got to visit the set when they were filming in Atlanta, and I watched the cast film a very funny scene featuring everyone getting to know one another. In take after take, I saw the way Vaughn, Wilson and Levy would slightly adjust the dialogue and reactions so they’d have plenty of choices in the editing room. In addition, it was great to see the cast and crew try and hold it together until Levy called cut. As soon as he did, the room lit up with laughter. Based on what I saw and learned on set, I think The Internship is going to be a winner. Hit the jump for the images.
20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for director Shawn Levy’s comedy The Internship. The film reteams Wedding Crashers stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson as two out-of-work salesmen who attempt to reinvent themselves by competing against young up-and-comers for an internship at Google. This trailer delves a bit deeper into the film’s plot, as we learn that those competing for the internship at Google are split up into teams and Vaughn and Wilson find themselves in the “misfit” group. There are a few new jokes here and there, but the highlight is the appearance of Book of Mormon star Josh Gad who has a nice bit in this trailer.
Hit the jump to watch the new trailer. The film also stars Rose Byrne, Aasif Mandvi, Max Minghella, Dylan O’Brien, and Jessica Szohr. The Internship opens on June 7th.
The first trailer for director Shawn Levy’s upcoming comedy The Internship has been released online. The film stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson as two old school salesmen who haven’t kept up with the digital age. When they suddenly become unemployed, they attempt to remake themselves by interning at a major tech company. The trailer shows that the chemistry between Vaughn and Wilson is still strong and there are plenty of one-liners and laughs to be found without giving the whole movie away. A very promising start for The Internship.

Jessica Szohr plays her sister.
Love, Wedding, Marriage premieres on demand May 1, followed by a limited release on June 3.
Opening this weekend is a movie I’m actually very excited to check out: Piranha 3D. While some movies try to be something they’re not, director Alexandre Aja’s (The Hills Have Eyes) Piranha 3D knows exactly what it is and he embraces it with open arms. From what I’ve heard, the film is loaded with a lot of nudity, extreme violence, and tons of fake blood flying everywhere. Needless to say, I’m in.
Anyhow, The Weinstein Company has sent over three clips from the film and a few images, so if you’d like to get a taste of Piranha 3D, hit the jump to check everything out. Finally, if you missed the awesome “For Your Consideration” Piranha 3D ad we posted earlier today, check it out here.
Last year, Avatar showed a 3D film could dominate at the Academy Awards. This year, Piranha 3D is the 3D film that’s coming to own all the Oscars. If 3D is here to stay, why not honor a 3D film that stars Paul Scheer, Adam Scott, Christopher Lloyd, Ving Rhames, Kelly Brook, and Hollywood Treasure, Jerry O’Connell? Don’t like the cast? That’s okay because there’s plenty of gore and nudity, but the Academy has no problem with either as long as it’s done tastefully. And if there’s one word that I’m sure describes Piranha 3D, it’s “tasteful”.
Hit the jump to check out this hilarious but sadly fake “For Your Consideration” ad from Funny Or Die for Piranha 3D, which hits theaters on Friday.
The first teaser trailer for Alexandre Aja’s Piranha 3D has hit the net. While the trailer isn’t an official release as it was leaked onto YouTube, if you hit the jump fast enough, it might still be there.
The reason the teaser is online is it was attached to most prints of Youth in Revolt. Since both films are being released by the Weinstein Company, movie audiences landed an early look and someone recorded it. I figure an official release will happen either this weekend or on Monday. So, as I said, watch this fast. This movie looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun.
Piranha 3D stars Elisabeth Shue, Steven R. McQueen, Adam Scott, Ving Rhames, Richard Dreyfuss, Christopher Lloyd, Jerry O’Connell, Dina Meyer, Jessica Szohr and Riley Steele.
