Sad news for those of you who were looking forward to seeing Raging Bull 2: it’s still in development, but has changed its title to The Bronx Bull.  A lawsuit filed by MGM claimed the right of first refusal of a sequel by the studio, as they owned both Jake LaMotta’s life rights and the feature rights tied to Martin Scorsese’s original film.  The title change reflects LaMotta’s nickname and the producers will publicly dissociate their project from Scorsese’s picture and MGM studios.

The Martin Guigui (Beneath the Darkness) picture stars William Forsythe (Boardwalk Empire) as an older LaMotta with Mojean Aria (Cross Life) as a younger version.  The picture also stars Tom Sizemore (Heat), Joe Mantegna (Criminal Minds), Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas) and Penelope Ann Miller (The Artist).  The title change notice comes via THR.

Production has recently started on Compulsion, starring Heather Graham and Carrie-Anne Moss. The film, written by Floyd Byars (Masterminds) and directed by Egidio Coccimiglio (Imaginary Grace), stars Graham as Amy, a relentless optimist who lives in an apartment adjacent to Saffron (Moss), a morose former child star.  The polar opposites meet in a confrontation that resolves in an unexpected – and disturbing – way.  Compulsion, now shooting in Ontario, Canada, also stars Kevin Dillon and Joe Mantegna and boasts Academy Award-winning cinematographer, Vilmos Zsigmond. As you saw from the trailer, Cars 2 has brought some new characters into the mix.  Most notable is Michael Caine as the voice of spy car Finn McMissile.  After the jump, check out images of the new characters and their voice actors.  Cars 2 is set to open in 3D on June 24, 2011.

Fox announced the guest voices for the 22nd season of The Simpsons this morning at the TCA’s in Los Angeles.  Included in the record setting season is Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Amber Riley, Hugh Laurie, Halle Berry, Ricky Gervais, Daniel Radcliffe, Jemaine Clement, Bret McKenzie, Mark Zuckerberg, Mike Scioscia, Martha Stewart, Paul Rudd, Rachel Weisz, Cheech & Chong, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Alyson Hannigan, Danica Patrick, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Joe Mantegna.
