A few weeks back, we alerted you to an upcoming show being assembled by our friends at the Spoke Art Gallery. The Spoke Art guys generally operate out of San Francisco, but this Friday they’re taking a field trip to New York’s Bold Hype Gallery to unleash a Martin Scorsese-themed gallery show that looks to be quite the homerun. Wanna see some preview images from the show and find out what you’ll get if you’re one of the first 100 people in line? Meet me after the jump, folks!

Last week, BAFTA premiered special posters for their Best Picture nominees. Today, the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences had followed suit by teaming up with Gallery1988 and various artists to create posters for this year’s Best Picture Oscar nominees. There are some impressive posters, and I’m curious to see if they’re going to go on sale at some point. The Academy’s website lists the dimensions and type of production (screen print), which leads me to believe that these might be available for purchase some day. I’m sure there are plenty of readers who would love to get their hands on Mark Englert‘s print for Django Unchained. [Update: Gallery1988 has tweeted the following: "G1988 x The Academy. Official. 2/14 - 2/17. More soon." so it looks like you should get your wallets ready, and keep an eye on their official website.]
Hit the jump to check out the posters. The Academy Awards will be held on February 24th at 7pm EST on ABC.

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year.
And this year Black Friday’s going to be even crazier than usual: a number of announcements were recently made by some of Limited Paper’s favorite artists, galleries, and poster-producers…and if half of these drops are as badass as we suspect they’re going to be, some of us will be filing for bankruptcy first thing on Saturday. Wanna know what to expect from Mondo, Spoke Art, Posters and Toys, and others later this week? Everything we know’s after the jump, folks.
