REACH ME Trailer and Poster Starring Sylvester Stallone, Terry Crews, Thomas Jane, and the Rest of the 323 Area Code

by     Posted 85 days ago

Wow.  Fifteen years after Paul Thomas Anderson‘s valley opus Magnolia, we get the Millenium Entertainment take on Altman-esque sprawl with Reach Me.  This film looks a bit out of its mind, but maybe it’s in the service of some kind of mad genius.  All I know is it doesn’t look boring, even though it seems to be in search of a consistent tone (it oscillates wildly between serious pathos and comic relief). I will indeed be seeing it.

Hit the jump for the Reach Me trailer and poster.  The film was directed by John Herzfeld and stars Sylvester Stallone, Tom Berenger, Kevin Connolly,  Danny Trejo, Kyra Sedgwick, Nelly, Cary Elwes, Thomas Jane, Terry Crews, Danny Aiello, Kelsey Grammer, Lauren Cohan, Ryan Kwanten, as well as Tom Sizemore.

ENTOURAGE Movie Gets Production Start Date

by     Posted 1 year, 28 days ago

Although we previously knew that the Entourage movie was set to begin production this coming January, creator Doug Ellin confirmed the specific start date with a recent tweet.  Looks like the gang will officially get back together for the feature treatment on January 16th.  Ellin also tweeted a behind-the-scenes cast image with the news, but as he’s been feeling a little nostalgic with his Entourage image tweets lately so it might have been from the end of season eight.  Still nice to see everyone together.  Hit the jump to check it out.

ENTOURAGE Movie Is Unofficially Moving Forward as Deals Close for Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara and Kevin Connolly

Entourage slice

Less than a week ago, we brought you news on the progress of writer-director Doug Ellin’s Entourage movie from star Jerry Ferrara himself.  Now, it looks as if deals have closed for Ferrara, Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, and Kevin Connolly, so the feature should be moving forward shortly.  Producers Mark Wahlberg and Steve Levinson helped close the deal with Warner Bros. this past weekend.  Jeremy Piven had previously closed a deal to reprise his role, but the details of that agreement spurred the rest of the cast to seek similar deals.  The studio has reportedly set a firm budget cap at $30 million and plans to start production this January. ENTOURAGE Movie Gets Greenlight from Warner Bros.

by     Posted 1 year, 323 days ago

It appears that the long-promised Entourage movie might actually be happening.  Creator Doug Ellin and executive producer Mark Wahlberg have been touting a feature film version of the HBO “comedy” series for quite some time, and now Deadline reports that Warner Bros. has given a greenlight to the project.  Ellin wrote the script and will direct the movie, which he previously revealed takes place six months after the series finale.  Hit the jump for more.

Doug Ellin Nearly Finished with ENTOURAGE Movie Script; Film Picks Up 6 Months After Series Ended

by     Posted 2 years, 96 days ago

For anyone still itching to see an Entourage movie, the film just became a bit more of a reality.  Series creator Doug Ellin recently revealed that he’s on page 110 of the screenplay and he’s nearly finished.  The movie will pick up six months after the show’s series finale left off, with Ari (Jeremy Piven) now a fully-fledge studio head and Vince (Adrien Grenier) hours away from some impending nuputuals.  Ellin notes that Ari’s studio head status was “page one” for him, but the film also focuses on Vince and his crew “still hanging out and going to fun parties.”  Who needs character development anyway, eh?  Hit the jump for more.

Casting Call: Luke Wilson and Kevin Connolly in ELVIS & NIXON, David Oyelowo Joins LINCOLN, Elle Fanning and Alessandro Nivola in BOMB

by     Posted 3 years, 31 days ago

We’ve got a few casting stories to share with you this evening. First up, Luke Wilson and Kevin Connolly have signed on to Elvis & Nixon. The indie drama centers around Elvis’ infamous meeting with President Richard Nixon. The film documents the culture-clash between Elvis and Nixon when the rock and roll superstar asked to be made a “Federal Agent-at-Large” in the bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. Eric Bana is onboard as Elvis and Danny Huston will be taking on the role of Nixon. THR reports that Wilson will play one of Presley’s “Memphis Mafia”, and Connolly will take on the role of a limo driver. It’s a fairly insane premise, and one that could only be brought to life by the directorial debut of Cary Elwes.

Kimbo Slice Biopic On Wish List For ENTOURAGE Star Kevin Connolly

by     Posted 3 years, 184 days ago

Kevin Connolly aims to produce and direct a movie based on the life of Kimbo Slice after the final season of Entourage ends this year. Slice is a current mixed martial arts fighter in the UFC and former YouTube sensation for his backyard brawls. Apparently Connolly had a screenwriter sit down with Slice to develop the story based around his extraordinary rise to fame. The script is currently being shopped around with the intention of Connolly stepping behind the camera for the second time and Slice portraying himself. For more on the project, including what Connolly had to say and who Kimbo Slice is, hit the jump.

3 High Resolution Images from Disney’s SECRETARIAT Starring Diane Lane, John Malkovich and Scott Glenn

Secretariat movie image Diane Lane, John Malkovich slice (2).jpg

Walt Disney has released three high resolution images from their upcoming horse racing “drama” Secretariat.  Since anyone who follows horse racing or watches ESPN knows the story of Secretariat (spoiler alert: he was the last Triple Crown winner back in 1973), I don’t know how this is a drama as it looks like a made for TV movie with great actors and a higher budget.  But Disney knows how to sell ice to Eskimos, so I’m sure by October I’ll want to check it out.  Hit the jump for the images and the info on the movie:

he_s_just_not_that_into_you_movie_image_jennifer_connelly__jennifer_aniston.jpgI’ll admit it.  My fiancée made me do it.  She squealed with joy as I presented the possible things I could review.  I absolutely had to get this because I am *that* into her.  (One should note, she’d read the book and she’s already watched this DVD twice.)

Me, on the other hand… I came to the property cold.  I found a series of interlocking vignettes, some better than others, in the vein of Love Actually.  This film shares many traits with that one – a powerful and recognizable cast being the most prevalent.  However, this film is often on the opposite side of the coin because the title says it all He’s Just Not That Into You.
