How does one dress for a mass exodus onto a giant wooden ark that will be surrounded by rising flood waters for an indefinite period of time? Why, with homemade t-shirts, head wraps and fashionable boots! At least that’s what the cast of Darren Aronofsky’s Noah was wearing in these recent set photos. The images show off Jennifer Connelly and Emma Watson in costume on their way to/from set, along with titular star Russell Crowe short-sleeved and bearded. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out an image of the finished ark here; drafty!

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter attempts to walk the line between solemn grit and bombastic action. The film stumbles around the line, falls off of it, gropes in the dark to find the line again, give a big goofy smile at no one in particular, regains a wobbly balance before taking a proud stride forward only to constantly repeat this bizarre range of motions. The film is an exercise in pushing the limits of going big while keeping a straight face. In its action scenes, there’s not a shred of doubt that director Timur Bekmambetov is trying to find laughs in lunacy to make up for the dearth of humor in the “serious” scenes. But what appears to be an attempt at balance simply comes off as measured schizophrenia, and what should be a fun twist on half-remembered American history instead becomes a dark twist on historiography.
We have a nice little set of images from a trio of films for you today. The comedy My Idiot Brother recently commenced production in New York City, highlighted by the Jesus look that star Paul Rudd is sporting for the film. Co-stars Janey Montgomery and Zooey Deschanel were also spotted on the set — one draped in a scarf, the other in a robe. (You’ll have to hit the jump to see which is which.)
Meanwhile, Disney has released a pair of high-resolution stills for both the thriller The Debt and the Shakespeare adaptation The Tempest, which happen to share a cast member in Dame Helen Mirren. Check out all the images after the break.
