As part of the TCA Press Tour presentation for NBC, Chairman of NBC Entertainment Robert Greenblatt and President of Entertainment Jennifer Salke took some time to talk about their comedies and dramas, both with their present line-up and what’s to come. During this interview, they touched on when viewers might expect to see Hannibal (from show creator Bryan Fuller and starring Hugh Dancy as Special Agent Will Graham and Mads Mikkelsen as Dr. Hannibal Lecter), how they’re going into production on Dracula (with Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the lead role) and pre-production on the Blackbeard series Crossbones (from Luther creator Neil Cross), how they approach violence in their programming, their upcoming series with Michael J. Fox, their approach to keeping people aware of Revolution, after a four-month hiatus, and how they feel about the changes to Season 2 of Smash.  Check out what they had to say after the jump.

Well that didn’t take long! It was only last week that we reported on TV networks buzzing over a new sitcom from Michael J. Fox, with director Will Gluck (Easy A) and writer Sam Laybourne (Arrested Development). Now reports have NBC winning a big bidding war to land the project, which Fox will star in.  This bodes well for NBC, which finished third at the end of last season’s network ratings.  The deal is even sweeter for Fox, as the network has committed to a 22-episode run before a pilot has even been filmed.  Hit the jump for more details on how the deal went down and what this means for Fox fans in the future.

Reports are coming in that Michael J. Fox (Back to the Future — though does this man need an introduction?) is teaming up with director Will Gluck (Easy A) and writer Sam Laybourne (Arrested Development) to create a single-camera comedy that should be set to air in 2013.  Though the specifics of plot are unknown, sources say that the series may be inspired by Fox’s own life.

Fox has had some inspiring appearances of his own on other TV series lately, including a great Emmy-nominated turn as attorney Louis Canning on CBS’s critical hit The Good Wife, as well as a brief but memorable few episodes as a version of himself on Larry David‘s long-running HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm.  For more on Fox’s upcoming show, hit the jump.

Larry David is back, and he’s as neurotic as ever in this new trailer for the eighth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm on HBO. And once again, this season is rife with some great guest stars which you can see in the trailer including Ana Gasteyer, Paul F. Tompkins, and the one that I can’t wait to see, Michael J. Fox. We also know that Ricky Gervais will show up at some point, so that’s definitely someone else to get excited about. The season premiere hits HBO on Sunday, July 10th ant 10/9c, but in the meantime, you can check out the hilarious new trailer after the jump.

There has already been an exhaustive coverage of Back to the Future leading up to today’s release of the 25^th Anniversary Blu-ray Edition, but who doesn’t want more of Marty McFly, Doc Brown, and Einstein? And so, hot off the heels of our sneak peek at two clips from the Blu-ray set last week, and footage of a young Eric Stoltz portraying Marty, we are pleased to bring you the Back to the Future 25^th Anniversary Blu-ray/DVD Press Conference.

Most of the cast, including Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, and Lea Thompson, talk about the film – fondest memories, the social impact the film has had, etc.  While the footage doesn’t reveal anything new (except that Lea Thompson doesn’t think her pink dress from the film is appropriate for her daughters) it’s always fun to see the gang back together. Holy awesomeness-overload Batman! Spike TV’s Scream Awards debuted a multitude of video from some highly anticipated projects.   Included is a “new” trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, a clip from AMC’s new series The Walking Dead, and an onstage Back to the Future reunion with Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd.

With the 2010 Scream Awards paying tribute to the 25th Anniversary of Back to the Future, Michael J. Fox recently re-shot the teaser trailer for the original film to help promote the event. You can check it out after the jump along with the original teaser, so you can compare them.

I actually got to see Back to the Future last night in a movie theater as I’m in London and Universal rereleased the film in the United Kingdom.  I forgot how perfect the movie is and how well it stands up even after 25 years.  AMC Theaters is re-releasing it stateside later this month.

The 2010 Scream Awards airs October 19 at 9pm on Spike TV with Michael J. Fox, Lea Thompson and Elisabeth Shue reuniting on stage.

Here’s a trio of TV casting additions coming your way! First up, CBS announced today via press release that Michael J. Fox will guest star on the forthcoming season of The Good Wife where he’ll actually be facing off against series star Julianna Margulies. He’ll play Simon Canning, a shrewd and cynical litigator whom Alicia (Margulies) faces in a massive class action.  Canning is willing to use anything in court, including symptoms of his neurological condition, to create sympathy for his otherwise unsympathetic client: a giant pharmaceutical company.

Despite his debilitating Parkinson’s disease keeping him from taking on more roles, Fox has previously been able to take on multi-episode arcs on shows like Scrubs, Boston Legal and Rescue Me (though he’ll only appear on one episode of The Good Wife). Fox has always been a favorite of mine from Back to the Future to Spin City and it’s a shame we don’t get to see him more often. Perhaps realizing that a steady diet of vapid teen reality shows is bound to make any TV network bulimic in time, MTV announced that they would begin dabbling in scripted series earlier this year.  First up?  A reboot of the 1985 classic “Teen Wolf” starring Michael J. Fox.  As announced, the MTV series would give the film a “contemporary” spin incorporating horror elements, werewolf mythology and a sweeping love story… so basically “Twilight” without the good hair.  After checking out the pilot script the network today revealed that they have given “Teen Wolf” an initial pilot presentation order.  Details after the jump.
