Universal Pictures has released a final trailer for Fast Five director Justin Lin’s sequel Fast & Furious 6, and it’s chock-full of summer blockbuster goodness. This trailer does a great job of showing off the film’s ginormous scale, as we get some extended looks at Lin’s many action sequences. Car chases through the streets of Europe, brutal fistfights in which The Rock pulls some legit wrestling moves, and a car chase/fight sequence involving a tank are all things we can look forward to with Fast & Furious 6. Producer Neal Moritz recently told us that the film features two or three of “the best action sequences you will ever see” and noted that Fast 6 is the best film of the series yet. We’ll get a chance to judge for ourselves in a few short weeks, but this trailer definitely makes the film look like one hell of a ride.
Hit the jump to watch the trailer. The film stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Joe Taslim, Sung Kang, Gina Carano, and Luke Evans. Fast & Furious 6 opens on May 24th.

Universal Pictures has released a new featurette for director Justin Lin’s upcoming sequel Fast & Furious 6, and it features a whole lot of new footage from the film. The follow-up to 2011’s Fast Five moves the action to Europe, where Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) is trying to stop a group of mercenary drivers led by an unnamed mastermind (Luke Evans) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). Hobbs recruits Dom (Vin Diesel) and his crew to help bring down the criminal outfit, and in exchange will provide pardons for the Rio heist. This featurette has basically the entire cast and Lin discussing the story of the sixth installment in the franchise, and we’re treated to a host of new footage that highlights some seriously intense action/racing/fighting sequences.

A new trailer and poster have been released for DreamWorks Animation’s Turbo. The story follows a snail (voiced by Ryan Reynolds) who dreams of being able to go fast, and gets his wish after a freak accident. He then goes to pursue his dream of racing in the Indy 500. The trailer looks cute, but I’m not sure if the movie has an antagonist. I hope it’s salt.
Hit he jump to check out the trailer and poster. The film also features the voices of Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Luis Guzmán, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Ken Jeong, Michelle Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph, Ben Schwartz, Kurtwood Smith, Snoop Dogg, and Samuel L. Jackson. Turbo opens in 3D on July 19th.

A new theatrical trailer for Fast & Furious 6 has been released online. Though the supervillain for Fast & Furious 7 may have already been spoiled, we still have director Justin Lin’s eminent sequel to look forward to in the immediate future. The film moves the action of the franchise across the pond to Europe, where Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) is trying to stop a group of mercenary drivers led by an unnamed mastermind (Luke Evans) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). Hobbs recruits Dom (Vin Diesel) and his crew to help bring down the criminal outfit, and in exchange will provide pardons for the Rio heist. This trailer is essentially a shorter, edited version of the first full trailer, but it’s still a fun watch if only for the reminder that we’ll be seeing a car explode out the front of a plane in the film.
Hit the jump to watch the new trailer. The film also stars Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Chris Bridges, Elsa Pataky, and Gina Carano. Fast & Furious 6 opens May 24th.

The full trailer for Fast & Furious 6 has gone online. It looks like this movie has everything fans could want and more. I’m curious what the runtime on this flick will be considering you have the whole team trying to get pardons, fighting a rival carjacking crew (a clever idea for a new foe), and the return of Dom’s love, Letty. But more than anything, it looks like director Justin Lin has pulled out all the stops to make the sixth installment the biggest and best one yet. Take it from someone who hasn’t been a big fan of the series thus far: this trailer left a big smile on my face.

Of all the movie-related TV spots that aired during Super Bowl XLVII, the consensus seems to be that the trailer for Fast & Furious 6 was the most exciting of the bunch. I’m with Matt in that I’m not the biggest fan of the franchise, but I mostly enjoyed Fast Five and this Europe-set sixth film in the series looks like a lot of fun. One of the more interesting bits of the trailer was seeing the return of Michelle Rodriguez’s Letty character and learning that she’s aligned herself with the “bad guys” for FF6. The actress has now unveiled a new image from the film featuring her character, noting that the full 3-minute theatrical trailer will be unveiled tomorrow.
Hit the jump to take a look at the new image, and check back here on Collider tomorrow to see the first full trailer. Directed by Justin Lin, the film also stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Joe Taslim, and Luke Evans. Fast & Furious 6 opens May 24th.

Over the past few months, we’ve heard a number of different titles (Fast Six, Furious 6) for the 6th installment in the Fast and Furious franchise. But thanks to the studio releasing the first poster, we know it’s officially called Fast and Furious 6. While I understand the logic in that title, I think Furious 6 sounds a lot cooler.
As we learned the other day when we posted the synopsis, the new film has Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) trying to stop a group of mercenary drivers led by an unnamed mastermind (Luke Evans) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). Hobbs recruits Dom (Vin Diesel) and his crew to help bring down the criminal outfit, and in exchange will provide pardons for the Rio heist. The film also stars Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky, and Gina Carano. Hit the jump to check out the first poster and come back tomorrow to check out the first footage from the film.

We’re still not 100% sure if the new Fast & Furious movie is entitled “Fast & Furious 6” (it could be “Fast Six“, “Furious Six“, or maybe even my personal prediction, Fast Cars Go Boom Now), but no matter what it ends up being called, we now have the first synopsis. The new film has Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) trying to stop a group of mercenary drivers led by an unnamed mastermind (Luke Evans) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). Hobbs recruits Dom (Vin Diesel) and his crew to help bring down the criminal outfit, and in exchange will provide pardons for the Rio heist.
Hit the jump for the full synopsis, and look out for the first trailer during the Super Bowl. The film also stars Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky, and Gina Carano. Fast & Furious 6 opens May 24th.

Vin Diesel is ridiculously popular on Facebook (37 million likes), and he’s done a good job at using his page to promote his upcoming projects. Today, he has revealed a new image from Fast & Furious 6, and he also provided a confirmation that the first trailer will premiere during the Super Bowl on February 3rd. That’s a scant three months before the film opens, but the Super Bowl is the perfect place to show off a trailer for a movie like Fast & Furious 6. Presumably, we’ll start seeing some posters soon, and since Super Bowl ad time is ridiculously expensive, a longer trailer should debut online or in theaters soon after the Super Bowl spot.
Hit the jump to check out the new image. The film also stars Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Joe Taslim, and Luke Evans. Fast & Furious 6 opens May 24th.

The first teaser trailer and poster for DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming racing movie Turbo have been released. The story centers on a snail who, after miraculously attaining the power of super-speed, decides to fulfill his dream of racing in the Indy 500. I got a kick out of the fact that The Chromatics’ “Tick of the Clock,” which was memorably used in last year’s decidedly violent Drive, opens this trailer, followed by another appropriately titled song from Cake. This is very much a teaser trailer so we don’t see much by way of plot, but the brief bit of racing sequences look pretty impressive and Ryan Reynolds does a fine job with the snail’s comedy.
Hit the jump to watch the trailer, and click here to read Dave’s recap of the recent DreamWorks Animation presentation which included footage from Turbo. The film also features the voices of Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Luis Guzmán, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Ken Jeong, Michelle Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph, Ben Schwartz, Kurtwood Smith, Snoop Dogg, and Samuel L. Jackson. Turbo opens in 3D on July 19, 2013.

We’ve got some new posters to share from the American Film Market (AFM). Briefly:
- Tarzan – A really poorly-made motion capture animated retelling of the classic story.
- InAPPropriate Comedy – A seriously terrible-looking “comedy” that tells the story of a computer tablet “full of the world’s most hilariously offensive apps” that sitrs up cultural anarchy. The pitiful cast includes Adrien Brody, Rob Schneider, Michelle Rodriguez, and Lindsay Lohan.
- Ip Man: The Final Fight – The next film in the martial arts franchise.
- Switch – An action drama set within the world of art thieving.
