Mondo, the collectible art boutique arm of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, is launching an exciting new poster series that will center on the work of particular directors, and they’re starting with visionary filmmaker Guillermo del Toro.  Mondo has worked with del Toro to craft stunning posters for his films Hellboy, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Blade II, The Devil’s Backbone, Cronos, and Pan’s Labyrinth.

The first posters going on sale will be Mike Suftin’s prints for Blade II.  Both versions measure 24″x36″ and are signed and numbered by the artist.  The gold-and-silver version is limited to an edition of 175 and will cost $35.  The red variant is limited to an edition of 75 and costs $50.  The posters will go on sale at their website on Thursday at a random time.  Be sure to follow @MondoNews for the announcement.  Mondo has also released a look at Ken Taylor’s gorgeous Hellboy II poster.  Hit the jump to take a look at the beautiful Mondo posters for Blade II and Hellboy II.  I can’t wait to see what they’ll do with The Devil’s Backbone and Pan’s Labyrinth.
