It may not be a genre you enjoy, but there’s no bad-mouthing the Step Up series for what it’s trying to do.  The stories may be painfully stupid, but the dancing is amazing and that’s what people come to see.  The trailer for Step Up 4 has gone online and it has the great line “I want to break the rules.” Usually, dancing is legal.  But you can break the rules by holding up traffic or disrupting the museum-going experience.  There’s no point in rebelling if it’s not expertly choreographed.

Straight from the American Film Market, we’ve got the new synopsis and promo poster for Step Up 4 3D, as well as a new promo poster for The Cold Light of Day. Step Up 4 is the fourth installment in the popular dance franchise, this time taking place in Miami and centering on flash mobs. The cast includes Ryan Guzman, Kathryn McCormick (So You Think You Can Dance), Misha Gabriel (This is It), and Peter Gallagher (American Beauty). Step Up 4 3D opens July 27th, 2012.

We’ve also got a new poster for Cold Light of Day. The thriller stars Henry Cavill (Man of Steel), Bruce Willis, and Sigourney Weaver. It centers on a young American who must race to find the connection between his father’s secrets and his family’s disappearance before time runs out.
