Advance tickets for director Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight Rises are now on sale.  Opening night tickets will disappear quickly, with IMAX tickets being the first to go, owing to the relatively limited number of seats.  You’re going to want to see the epic conclusion to the Batman trilogy in IMAX since a full hour of it was filmed in that format.  There are only so many theaters showing it in IMAX, so get your tickets while you can (and we recommend finding a theater with reserved seating to prevent any midnight nastiness).  Click here to buy or hit the jump for more.

Movie Tickets $20 in NYC – Will Moviegoers Still Pay?

Movie Tickets slice $20

While ticket prices have been inching up over the past few months, movie theaters in New York City are about to push it even further as the AMC theater in Manhattan’s Kips Bay neighborhood, AMC Loews 34, AMC Loews Lincoln Square and the AMC Empire 42nd Street are all going to charge $20 dollars a ticket for Shrek Forever After in IMAX 3D this weekend.

Granted, recent showtimes for DreamWorks How to Train Your Dragon were $19.50 at some of the same theaters, but that was below the $20 psychological barrier.  That .50 cents really makes a difference.  More after the jump:
