TV ratings for Wednesday, November 12th are in.  Here’s a brief rundown:

  • The CW’s Arrow (read Dave’s recap here) was down 18% to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demo and scored 2.57 million viewers, while The 100 rose 20% to a 0.6 rating and 1.79 million viewers.
  • ABC’s Modern Family fell 11% to a season low 3.1 rating and 9.77 million viewers, while The Middle rose 6% to a 1.9 rating and 8.12 million viewers, The Goldbergs was down 5% to a 2.1 rating and 7.54 million viewers, black-ish dropped 7% to a 2.5 rating and 7.87 million viewers, and Nashville was even with a 1.4 rating and scored5.63 million viewers.
  • CBS’ Criminal Minds was up 10% to a 2.3 rating and garnered 10.1 million viewers, and Stalker dropped 7% to a 1.4 rating and scored 6.98 million viewers.
  • Fox’s Red Band Society was even with last week’s 0.9 rating and scored 2.84 million viewers.
  • On NBC, the crossover event rose both Law & Order: SVU and Chicago PD, with the former up 50% to a 2.4 rating and 10.01 million viewers and PD up 57% to a 2.2 rating and 9.47 million viewers.

Wednesday TV Ratings: BLACK-ISH and NASHVILLE Rise; STALKER Dips

TV ratings for Wednesday, October 29th, though preemption in some cities for The CW renders those preliminary numbers inaccurate.  Here’s a brief rundown of the rest:

  • ABC’s new comedy black-ish continues to do well, rising 13% from last week to a 2.7 rating in the 18-49 demo and scoring 7.73 million viewers.  Elsewhere on the network, The Middle was down 14% to a 1.8 rating and 6.9 million viewers, The Goldbergs dipped 9% to a 2.1 rating and 6.79 million viewers, Modern Family matched last week’s 3.4 rating and scored 9.75 million viewers, and Nashville was up 12% with a 1.5 rating and 5.61 million viewers.
  • Over on CBS, Criminal Minds was down 8% from last week to a 2.3 rating and 10.31 million viewers, while Stalker dropped 12% to a 1.5 rating and scored 7.34 million viewers.
  • NBC’s new drama The Mysteries of Laura dropped 8% to a 1.2 rating and scored 7.55 million viewers.

Wednesday TV Ratings: ARROW Finale Down from Season 1; MODERN FAMILY and NASHVILLE Rise

TV ratings for Wednesday, May 14th are in.  Here’s a brief rundown:

  • The season two finale of The CW’s Arrow was even with last week’s 0.8 rating in the 18-49 demo and scored 2.33 million viewers, though it was down 11% from the season one finale’s 0.9 rating.  The 100  matched last week’s 0.6 rating and notched 1.77 million viewers.  Read Dave’s recap of Arrow here.
  • ABC’s Modern Family was up 7% with a 3.1 rating and 8.79 million viewers, The Middle rose 19% to a 1.9 rating and 6.85 million viewers, Mixology matched last week’s 1.3 rating and garnered 3.92 million viewers, the season finale of Nashville was up one tenth to a 1.3 rating and 5.02 million viewers, and the series finale of Suburgatory rose 15% to a 1.5 rating and 5 million viewers.
  • NBC’s cancelled Revolution was even with last week’s 1.1 rating and notched 4 million viewers, Law & Order: SVU held stead with a 1.5 rating and 5.29 million viewers, and Chicago P.D. rose 14% to a 1.6 rating and 6.06 million viewers.
  • The season finale of Criminal Minds on CBS hit a 2.7 rating and pulled in 11.96 million viewers for a rise of 17%.

TV ratings for Wednesday, March 12th have arrived.  Here’s a brief rundown:

  • ABC’s Modern Family notched a 3.3 rating in the 18-49 demo and scored 9.08 million viewers for a drop of one tenth from last week’s rating.  Elsewhere at the network, The Middle was even with last week’s 1.9 rating and scored 7.17 million viewers, Suburgatory dropped three tenths to a series low-tying 1.4 rating and 5.18 million viewers, Mixology dropped two tenths to a 1.5 rating and 4.22 million viewers, and Nashville closed out the night down one tenth to a 1.4 rating and 4.93 million viewers.
  • Over on NBC, Revolution was even with last week’s series low 1.3 and garnered 4.69 million viewers, Law & Order: SVU matched last week’s 1.6 rating and scored 6.25 million viewers, and Chicago PD rose a tenth to a 1.6 rating and brought in 5.85 million viewers.
  • Fresh off renewals for both series, CBS’ Criminal Minds hit a 2.3 rating and 10.72 million viewers for a drop of three tenths and CSI rose three tenths to a 2.0 rating and 10 million viewers.

  • Last night’s episode of Arrow dropped 9% from last week to a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demo, scoring 2.75 million viewers.  Elsewhere on The CW, The Tomorrow People fell 29% to a series low 0.5 rating and drew 1.37 million viewers.  Read Dave’s recap of Arrow here.
  • The 200th episode of CBS’ Criminal Minds notched a 2.8 rating and garnered 12.81 million viewers, rising 27% from its last original episode, and CSI rose 25% to a 2.0 rating and 11.02 million viewers.
  • Over on ABC, The Middle dipped 4% to a 2.2 rating and 8.67 million viewers, Suburgatory rose 13% to a 1.7 rating and 6.22 million viewers, Modern Family ticked up 3% to a 3.5 rating and 10 million viewers, Super Fun Night rose 23% to a 1.6 rating and 4.98 million viewers, and Nashville dropped 13% to a series low-tying 1.3 rating and 5.11 million viewers.

Perhaps there is no greater mark for a director than his or her name being associated not just with a genre but with a signature style uniquely his own.  Speak the name “Robert Altman” and immediately his singular imprint leaps to mind.  Nowhere is that style more fully realized than in Nashville.  Hit the jump for my review of the Criterion Collection Blu-ray/DVD release of the film.

Wednesday evening’s TV ratings are in.  Here’s a brief rundown:

  • NBC’s Revolution tied its season low 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demo and scored 5.13 million viewers, dropping two tenths from last week.  Law & Order: SVU rose a tenth to a 1.9 rating and 7.54 million viewers, and new drama Chicago P.D. ticked up a tenth to a 1.7 rating and 6.88 million viewers.
  • ABC’s Suburgatory dropped three tenths to a series low-tying 1.5 rating and 5.05 million viewers, Super Fun Night dropped four tenths to a series low 1.3 rating and 3.88 million viewers, and Nashville rose one tenth to a 1.5 rating and 5.20 million viewers.

Wednesday evening’s TV ratings are in.  Here’s a brief rundown:

  • The CW’s Arrow garnered a 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demo, dropping 8% from last week’s 1.2 rating.  The Tomorrow People dropped 17% to a 0.5 rating and 1.43 million viewers.  Read Dave’s Arrow recap here.
  • ABC’s The Middle matched last week’s 1.9 rating and scored 8.14 million viewers, Back in the Game rose 7% to a 1.5 rating and 6.1 million viewers, Modern Family was up 9% to a 3.5 rating and 10.53 million viewers, the new comedy Super Fun Night saw a 13% rise to a 1.8 rating and 5.47 million viewers, and Nashville tied its series low with a 1.4 rating and 5.15 million viewers for a drop of 13%.
  • Over on CBS, Criminal Minds was even with its last new episode’s 2.4 rating and scored 11.02 million viewers, while CSI hit a 1.8 rating and 9.95 million viewers for a drop of 14% from its last episode’s 2.0 rating.

  • NBC’s Revolution matched last week’s series low 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demo, scoring 5.14 million viewers.
  • Over at ABC, The Middle was up 5% to a 2.3 rating and 8.86 million viewers, Back in the Game garnered a 1.8 rating and 6.41 million viewers for a rise of 6%, Modern Family returned down 3% to a 3.8 rating and 10.61 million viewers, Super Fun Night surged with a 24% rise to a 2.1 rating and 5.92 million viewers, and Nashville ticked up 7% to a 1.5 rating and 5.43 million viewers.
  • CBS’ Criminal Minds notched a 2.7 rating and 11.62 million viewers, rising 17% and standing as the most-watched program of the night.  CSI was also up to a 1.9 rating and 10.27 million viewers for a 6% gain.
