Take a spoiler-filled refresher course after the jump to relive the last four seasons of True Blood, including some of the best, worst and weirdest surprises from Bon Temps over the last few years (or moments, if you’re on fairy time).

Frankly, I gave up on vampires a long time ago, and it takes a lot for me to get interested in them, and that includes the HBO series True Blood. However, we know that there are plenty of True Blood-thirsty fans out there clamoring for every bit of hype as we lead up to the fifth season premiere on June 10th at 9/8c. Therefore, you’ll be happy to know that in addition to the most recent trailer and teaser poster, we now have a batch of 12 character posters (with Anna Paquin, Alexander Skarsgard, Stephen Moyer and more) that have so much red on them they would make Shaun of the Dead blush.
Honestly, they’re not all that special, but for fans who have a favorite character (or enjoy seeing Christopher Meloni with fangs), they could make a cool iPhone background or something like that. Anyway, you can check out all 12 of the new posters, along with the most recent trailer, after the jump.

Big Beach has culled an eclectic cast to play immortals in the adaptation of Marie Phillips’ Gods Behaving Badly: Christopher Walken (Zeus), John Turturro (Hades), Sharon Stone (Aphrodite), Edie Falco (Artemis), Phylicia Rashad (Demeter), Nelsan Ellis (Dionysus), Gideon Glick (Eros), Henry Zebrowski (Hermes), Rosie Perez (Persephone). Movieline passes along the official synopsis:
The film tells the story of the Greek Gods, alive and well and living in a brownstone in New York City, as they cross paths with a young couple, Kate and Neil. The intersection of the Gods and the mortals threatens not only the couple’s budding relationship, but the future of everything else.
Alicia Silverstone and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will play the young couple. Admittedly, this cast would be more impressive in a year that begins 199_. Regardless, this sounds like a fun project. Production begins this month in New York on Gods Behaving Badly, the directorial debut of Big Beach co-founder Marc Turtletaub.

HBO has announced two extremely exciting panels that will appear at this year’s Comic-Con: Game of Thrones and True Blood. The cable channel’s new hit series Game of Thrones is making its first appearance at the convention. George R.R. Martin, who wrote the books off of which Thrones is based and serves as a producer/writer on the show, will be moderating the panel. Showrunners David Benioff and D.B Weiss will be joined by stars Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, Jason Momoa and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will appear at the panel which is scheduled for Thursday, July 21st, just days before season two begins production.
Additionally, Alan Ball’s True Blood is making its fourth consecutive appearance at the Con, with Ball and stars Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Sam Trammell, Ryan Kwanten, Rutina Wesley, Kevin Alejandro, Kristin Bauer van Straten, Nelsan Ellis, Joe Manganiello and Deborah Ann Woll scheduled to appear at the panel on Friday, July 22nd. HBO has released a new trailer for the upcoming season of True Blood, giving us our first look at quite a bit of footage from the fourth season. When we left off at the end of last season, Sookie was all up in her fairy business, Bill was fly-fighting with fellow vampire Sophie-Anne, and we were teased with the existence of witches. If we’ve learned anything from past seasons of the Alan Ball series, we can expect some batshit-craziness from pretty much every episode.
Hit the jump to check out the trailer. Season four of True Blood begins June 26th.

At PaleyFest Saturday night, the cast (and by cast, I mean the whole cast – as in pretty much every featured player on the show) and creator Alan Ball stopped by to preview the upcoming fourth season of True Blood and reminisce on the unapologetically “soapy” show. Besides Ball, in attendance were Anna Paquin (Sookie Stackhouse), Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton), Sam Trammell (Sam Merlotte), Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse), Rutina Wesley (Tara Thornton), Chris Bauer (Andy Bellefleur), Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette Reynolds), Jim Parrack (Hoyt Fortenberry), Carrie Preston (Arlene Fowler), Alexander Skarsgård (Eric Northman), Todd Lowe (Terry Bellefleur), Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica Hamby), Kristin Bauer (Pam De Beaufort), Marshall Allman (Tommy Mickens), Kevin Alejandro (Jesus Velasquez) and Joe Manganiello (Alcide Herveaux)…whew. Walt Disney has released three high resolution images from their upcoming horse racing “drama” Secretariat. Since anyone who follows horse racing or watches ESPN knows the story of Secretariat (spoiler alert: he was the last Triple Crown winner back in 1973), I don’t know how this is a drama as it looks like a made for TV movie with great actors and a higher budget. But Disney knows how to sell ice to Eskimos, so I’m sure by October I’ll want to check it out. Hit the jump for the images and the info on the movie:
