On the ABC fantasy series Once Upon A Time in Wonderland, Alice (Sophie Lowe) tells an impossible tale of a strange new land that exists on the other side of a rabbit hole, with an invisible cat, a hookah-smoking caterpillar and playing cards that can talk.  She was ready to put it all behind her, especially the painful memory of the genie — the handsome and mysterious Cyrus (Peter Gadiot) — that she fell in love with and lost forever, until the Knave of Hearts (Michael Socha) and the White Rabbit (voiced by John Lithgow) suddenly show up to take her back to Wonderland.

During this recent exclusive phone interview with Collider, actor John Lithgow talked about how he immediately jumped at the chance to voice such a unique and unusual character, why he loves being a part of family entertainment, how he finds his inner White Rabbit, how he feels like he can take about 3% of the credit for the final product, that nothing on this show will turn out how you expect, and the process of being able to record from anywhere, at anytime.  Check out what he had to say after the jump, and be aware that there are some spoilers.

Netflix Renews ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK for Season 2; ONCE UPON A TIME IN WONDERLAND Order Extended

Netflix is certainly hitting the ground running with regards to its foray into the original series game.  House of Cards was the big gamble earlier this year, and it paid off in spades.  The new season of Arrested Development was subsequently a success as well, and now Netflix is ordering a second season of the comedy series Orange Is the New Black before the first season has been released.  From Weeds creator Jenji Kohan, the show stars Taylor Schilling as a Brooklynite whose decade-old relationship with a drug-runner (Laura Prepon) lands her in a federal penitentiary.  The first trailer was incredibly promising, and Netflix has announced that a second season of the series will debut in 2014.  All 13 episodes of season one will be available on Netflix starting July 11th.

Additionally, ABC has extended the order for its spinoff series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland from 13 episodes to an unknown quantity that’s less than 22.  Originally intended as a one-off limited series, the network is now mulling over the idea of turning Wonderland into an anthology.  Hit the jump for more.

MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Confirmed for Comic-Con; Joss Whedon to Appear

While it was a bit of a no-brainer, ABC has confirmed that the anticipated new series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will indeed have a panel at Comic-Con next month.  Executive producer/writer/director Joss Whedon will appear alongside Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb on the panel, which is also a strong indicator that Whedon will make an appearance during Marvel’s Hall H panel as well.  While the studio’s big movie panel will likely focus on Thor 2 and Captain America 2, I wouldn’t be surprised if the full character lineup for The Avengers 2 is revealed during the presentation.  Either way, Collider will be at Comic-Con in full force to bring you extensive coverage from all the panels.  Hit the jump for more, including the full press release.
