If you missed the opening salvo of set images from Anthony and Joe Russo’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, don’t fret! We’ve still got them here for you, plus these new shots of stars Scarlett Johansson staring angrily at paparazzi and Samuel L. Jackson dressed in Nick Fury’s colorful weekend wear. The upcoming sequel will not only feature Captain America (Chris Evans) but also Black Widow (Johansson) in what sounds like a co-lead role as the two hunt down the mysterious Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan).
Hit the jump to check out the set photos. The film also stars Cobie Smulders, Georges St-Pierre, Frank Grillo, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp, Maximiliano Hernández and Robert Redford. Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens on April 4, 2014.
A couple of days ago, director Gareth Edwards (Monsters) revealed the first video from the set of Godzilla along with the first behind-the-scenes images. Now, new images of star Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass) in military uniform have appeared, along with video from the two-week shoot in a small Canadian town. It’s your straightforward military action stuff complete with camouflaged troops and (possibly nuclear) missiles.
Also starring Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Bryan Crantson, Ken Watanabe and Richard T. Jones, with a script from Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont, and Dave Callaham, Godzilla opens in 3D on May 16, 2014. Hit the jump to see the new set images and video.
Another batch of pics, plus a brief video of a car stunt, have leaked from the NYC set of Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2. This is the fifth (yes, fifth!) batch of set photos to have surfaced online in the past week. This morning, we got a glimpse of Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker and Emma Stone’s Gwen Stacy taking a stroll in Chinatown, and now we have Shailene Woodley popping up as Mary Jane, who in this version of the Spidey-verse is a waitress — a mighty concerned waitress if these pics have anything to show.
Also starring Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, Sally Field, and Martin Sheen, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens in 3D on May 2, 2014. Hit the jump to check out the pics and the vid.
And so it begins. The first of what I assume will be many, many, many more set images have surfaced for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. We knew set photos would likely be making their way online soon as Sony released the first official image of the new Spidey costume this morning, and sure enough a couple of shots of Andrew Garfield, the new suit, a couple of stunt men doing some hanging have subsequently landed online. Director Marc Webb plans to shoot the entire film in New York City, so expect to see plenty more Spider-Man snapshots in the coming weeks.
Hit the jump to take a look at the images. The film also stars Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan, Jamie Foxx, Shailene Woodley, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, and Sally Field. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens in 3D on May 2, 2014.
We’ve got 18 new images today from the set of Akiva Goldsman’s Winter’s Tale. The adaptation of the Mark Helprin novel centers on a a thief (Colin Farrell) who breaks into the home of a bed-ridden young woman (Jessica Brown Findlay) and ends up falling in love with her. Russell Crowe stars as Pearly Soames, a violent crime lord and leader of the Short Tail gang who is after the thieving protagonist. In charge of tracking him down is Romeo Tan (Kevin Corrigan), Soames’ ruthless right-hand man who acts as his boss’s enforcer in 1916 New York. The picture also co-stars William Hurt, Jennifer Connelly, Matt Bomer, Eva Marie Saint and Will Smith, who will cameo as a judge. Hit the jump to check out the images from Winter’s Tale.
Director Bennett Miller’s Moneyball was one of the best films of 2011, so it’s with great anticipation that we look toward his follow-up feature, the real-life drama Foxcatcher. The pic tells the true story of John du Pont, a paranoid schizophrenic who built a wrestling training facility on his 800-acre Pennsylvania estate where he subsequently shot and killed Olympic gold medal-winning wrestler David Schultz in 1996. Heir to his family’s chemical fortune, du Pont locked himself in his mansion for two days after murdering his friend, and spent the time on the phone with negotiators.
Miller has assembled a fantastic ensemble cast that includes Steve Carell as du Pont, Mark Ruffalo as Schultz, and Channing Tatum as Schultz’s brother. Some set photos have surfaced today that feature a nearly unrecognizable Ruffalo as the Olympian alongside a very in-shape Tatum. Hit the jump to take a look at the images. Foxcatcher is set to hit theaters sometime next fall.
Just the other day we got a glimpse of Christopher Eccleston as the villain Malekith on the set of Marvel’s sequel Thor: The Dark World alongside his Dark Elf brethren, and today more photos and video from the set have surfaced. Today’s batch could be considered spoilery, as they reveal Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and that dastardly Malekith duking it out on location in London. Really nothing is revealed other than the fact that they’re fighting, but it’s clear that Eccleston is wearing motion-capture dots on his face so I’m interested to see what the final design for Malekith will look like after the visual effects are completed.
Hit the jump to check out the images and video. Directed by Alan Taylor, the film also stars Natalie Portman, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo, and Anthony Hopkins. Thor: The Dark World opens in 3D on November 8, 2013.
If you caught Tom Hanks doing any of the press rounds for Cloud Atlas, you may have noticed his oh-so-regal mustache. The atypical facial hair was for a high profile role that Hanks is currently filming: that of Walt Disney in the real-life drama Saving Mr. Banks. The story centers on Disney’s twenty-year pursuit of the film rights to author P.L. Travers’ (Emma Thompson) novel Mary Poppins and the rocky relationship that formed between the two. Our first images of Hanks and Thompson in character have surfaced today, as the production filmed a few scenes on the grounds of Disneyland.
Hit the jump to take a look at the images. Directed by John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side), the film also stars Colin Farrell, Ruth Wilson, Rachel Griffiths, Bradley Whitford, Paul Giamatti, and Jason Schwartzman. Saving Mr. Banks opens on December 20th, 2013.
Production is still underway in London on director Justin Lin’s Fast and Furious 6, and though we’ve seen plenty of images and video from the set already, star Tyrese Gibson has decided to share a bit more with fans. The actor has been keeping tabs on the production via his Twitter account, and today we’ve got an image of Tyrese, Ludacris, and Mr. Dwayne Johnson on a vehicle preparing to head out into what I can only assume is some intense action.
He also shared a video from the set (for some reason shot vertically on his phone), and you can check both out after the jump. The film also stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Joe Taslim, and Luke Evans. Fast and Furious 6 opens May 24, 2013.

New images from the respective sets of Martin Scorsese‘s The Wolf of Wall Street and Joshua Michael Stern‘s (Swing Vote) jOBS have found their way online. The Wolf images give us our first look at Leonardo DiCaprio in his turn as Jordan Belfort, a former financial rock star of sorts whose own memoir of the same name is the basis for the film. While we’ve already seen pics of Ashton Kutcher doing his best Steve Jobs impersonation while wearing a turtleneck and on LSD, today’s images give us a better idea of how well he can pull of the “button-up, cardigan, sweater vest” look.
Check out the images after the jump. The Wolf of Wall Street is aiming for a 2013 release and also stars Matthew McConaughey, Jon Favreau, and Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead). jOBS co-stars Dermot Mulroney, Josh Gad, Matthew Modine, Ahna O’Reilly, and Lukas Haas while also staring down an unspecified 2013 release.
A few set photos from the Steve Jobs biopic jOBS have surfaced, giving us a look at Ashton Kutcher doing his best “Steve Jobs on acid” impression. The Apple visionary made no secret of his past experimentation with LSD, and it appears that director Joshua Michael Stern’s indie biopic has at least one scene in which Kutcher’s Jobs goes tripping in a field. Noah Wyle did a hell of a job portraying Jobs and tackling his fascination with LSD in the TV movie Pirates of Silicon Valley, so Kutcher has his work cut out for him.
Additionally, a couple more images of Angelina Jolie in character in Disney’s Maleficent have surfaced. The story centers on the Sleeping Beauty villain and “reveals the events that hardened her heart and drove her to curse the baby, Aurora.” Yesterday some set photos landed online that gave us a look at Jolie performing some flying stunts, but this batch is much less death-defying. Hit the jump to check out the set photos from both jOBS and Maleficent.
The first images of Oukast member Andre Benjamin (aka Andre 3000) as Jimi Hendrix have surfaced online. He’s playing the legendary guitarist in a biopic called All Is By My Side, which is currently filming in Dublin. The actor certainly has the physical resemblance down, but we don’t yet know if his acting ability is up to snuff. The film also stars Imogen Poots and Hayley Atwell, and the set photos here also include a brief shot of the latter. John Ridley wrote the script and is directing the pic, which will utilize interviews with the musician and archival footage of Hendrix to anchor the film’s structure.

We’ve got a few set photos to share with you today. Briefly:
- Bitter Pill – Rooney Mara sports a vastly different look for Stephen Soderbergh’s psychopharmacology thriller Bitter Pill. Mara stars as a troubled young woman who develops a dangerous love triangle between her doctor and her recently paroled husband. Jude Law and Channing Tatum also star.
- Lucky Dog – Paul Rudd, Paul Giamatti, and Sally Hawkins are seen filming scenes as two con men who hatch a get-rich-quick scheme to sell Christmas trees in NY.
- Now You See Me – Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Isla Fisher were spotted on the set of Louis Letterier’s (Clash of the Titans) magician-centered heist thriller. The film opens on January 18th, 2013.

Harry Potter’s a Beatnik. Daniel Radcliffe is currently shooting the thriller Kill Your Darlings in which he plays poet Allen Ginsberg, and the first set photos have surfaced online giving us a look at Radcliffe in his Ginsberg garb. The project sounds pretty interesting, as it follows the friendships of Allen Ginsberg (Radcliffe), Jack Kerouac (Jack Huston) and William S. Burroughs (Ben Foster) and how their relationships are tested by the murder of Burroughs’ friend, David Kammerer. I think Radcliffe looks pretty spiffy here, and we also get a look at Chronicle star Dane DeHaan getting in some quality street cuddle time with Radcliffe.
Hit the jump to check out the images. The film also stars Elizabeth Olsen, Michael C. Hall, and Kyra Sedgwick. Kill Your Darlings is slated for release sometime in 2013.
Production is currently underway on the 23rd film in the James Bond franchise, Skyfall, and Daniel Craig has been spotted filming some cardio-heavy scenes. The first official still from the pic was released a few days ago, in which we saw Craig wielding a gun. These set photos may seem a bit redundant, as they again show Craig as Bond wielding a gun. The actor was apparently filming a scene that required him to run, and he’s also wearing a handy-dandy earpiece. Not much is known about the plot, but director Sam Mendes has assembled quite the cast so I’m very much looking forward to the next Bond entry.
Hit the jump to check out the set photos. The film also stars Javier Bardem, Naomie Harris, Ben Chaplin, Judi Dench, Berenice Marlohe, Helen McCroy, Albert Finney, and Ralph Fiennes. Skyfall opens November 9th.
