First Images and Synopsis from WOLVES, the Directorial Debut of David Hayter starring Lucas Till and Jason Momoa

The first images and synopsis for Wolves are now available.  David Hayter (X-Men, X2 writer) makes his directorial debut in this clash of werewolf clans starring Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) and Lucas Till (X-Men: First Class). Till stars as Cayden Richards, an 18-year-old who runs away from his perfect life when he turns into a werewolf and slaughters his family. Cayden makes it to the town of Lupine Ridge, where the alpha-wolf Connor and the aging John Tollerman vie for control.

Steve recently had the opportunity to interview make-up supervisor Dave Elsey (X-Men: First Class) who will also be working on Wolves; he calls it “very violent and bloody.” Wolves is currently filming. Hit the jump to see the images and read the synopsis.

New Motion Poster for THE TALL MAN Starring Jessica Biel

While the summer has been awash with big action films, a heaping help of sci-fi and a trio of superhero movies, The Tall Man is coming to lead us into the fall.  Director Pascal Laugier’s horror thriller centers on Julia Denning (Jessica Biel), the nurse of a small town which has been plagued by the recent disappearances of their children.   Julia doesn’t put much stock in the culprit being the local urban legend of The Tall Man until her own son is taken.   And though you’ve seen the trailer, posters and clips from the film, now The Tall Man is coming for you in this new motion poster.  Also starring Jodelle Ferland, Stephen McHattie, William B. Before you go to the theater to watch Jessica Biel in action in Len Wiseman’s Total Recall remake this weekend, check her out in this clip from Pascal Laugier’s horror thriller, The Tall Man.  Biel plays a small town nurse who tracks down her child after he is taken by the mysterious urban legend known as The Tall Man. The film is available on VOD starting today and will see a limited theatrical release starting on August 31st. THE TALL MAN International Trailer and Poster

If you missed yesterday’s poster for director Pascal Laugier’s horror mystery The Tall Man, you’re in luck: today we have a brand new poster along with an international trailer.  The picture stars Jessica Biel (The Illusionist) as Julia Denning, a nurse of a small mining town that’s seen better days.  When local children keep disappearing, no one seems to be able to solve the mystery and instead blame the shadowy figure known as the Tall Man.  When Julia’s son David (Jakob Davies) disappears, she’ll go to any lengths to find him and learn the secret of the abductions.  The Tall Man, also starring Jodelle Ferland, Stephen McHattie and William B.   • The Tall Man, a horror/mystery/thriller starring Jessica Biel (The A-Team) and Jodelle Ferland (Silent Hill), will open August 31st, 2012.
  • The Perks of Being a Wallflower, starring Emma Watson (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows)  and Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief) opens September 14th, 2012.

Production Begins on Reverse Ghost Story HAUNTER Starring Abigail Breslin

Principal photography has begun on director Vincenzo Natali’s (Splice) ghost movie Haunter.  The film stars Abigail Breslin as a teenage girl who died with her family in 1986 under sinister circumstances.  In the present, Breslin much reach out “from beyond the grave” to help her living counterpart, Olivia, avoid the same fate she suffered.  In addition to Breslin, the cast also includes Stephen McHattie (Immortals), Peter Outerbridge (Silent Hill: Revelation), Michelle Nolden (Red), and David Hewlett (Rise of the Planet of the Apes).  Production is underway in Toronto and Brantford and the film is slated for release sometime in 2013.

Breslin recently wrapped a role in Gavin Hood’s adaptation of Ender’s Game, and is said to be eyeing the starring role in an adaptation of Kristin Hannah’s The Things We Do For Love.  Hit the jump to read the full press release regarding Haunter.

New Images from XIII: THE SERIES Starring Stuart Townsend

It might be lucky number XIII for Stuart Townsend. The Irish actor plays the title role in XIII: The Series, a new Franco-Canadian conspiracy action-thriller.  Based on the French Belgian comic book series by Jean Van Hamme and William Vance and originally published in 1984, XIII was first adapted in 2008 in a miniseries called XIII: The Conspiracy starring Val Kilmer and Stephen Dorff in the title role. Van Hamme was reportedly inspired by Robert Ludlum’s The Bourne Identity when he wrote XIII.
