This upcoming season of the hit Fox series Bones will be its 10th, which is a milestone most shows will never achieve, let alone do so while still feeling fresh and like there’s still so much further to go.  After the events of Season 9, there will be huge ramifications that everyone will be dealing with, testing Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) more than ever before.

While at Comic-Con, showrunner Stephen Nathan talked to press at a roundtable interview about what to expect from Season 10, where they’ll be picking back up, where things are at with the team at the Jeffersonian, that Hodgins (TJ Thyne) will feature more prominently, that there will still be some humor, keeping things fresh after a decade, and that, even though they haven’t been renewed for further seasons yet, everyone wants to return.  Check out what he had to say after the jump.

Stars David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel appeared with executive producer Stephen Nathan to tease the 10th season of Bones, opening the panel with a short clip from the upcoming season of Booth getting into a prison fight.  Boreanaz kicked off the panel’s screwball tone by taking selfies of himself with his fellow panelists and with the audience.  Despite the jokey atmosphere, Nathan and the actors did reveal details of the 10th season and the 200th episode.  Hit the jump for more.

The hit drama series Bones returns for Season 8 on Fox on September 17th. Having been accused of murder, at the end of last season, Brennan (Emily Deschanel) is on the run from the FBI, with help from her father Max (guest star Ryan O’Neal). Meanwhile, Booth (David Boreanaz) and the Jeffersonian team are convinced that evil tech genius Christopher Pelant (guest star Andrew Leeds) has manipulated key evidence in the case to pinpoint Brennan as the prime suspect, and they set out to do everything they can to prove it and bring her back.

During this recent interview to promote the new season, executive producers Hart Hanson (also the show’s creator) and Stephen Nathan talked about the reunion of Booth and Bones, how her friends and co-workers feel about Brennan’s decision to leave, how much Christopher Pelant will play a part in the storyline this season, why they decided to update the opening credits and theme music, that the interns will continue to revolve, that viewers might see some new family members introduced along with the return of some previously seen, the challenges of keeping a show realistic for so many seasons without stagnating, what they have planned for the 150th episode, and how the contract negotiations are going with the actors for Season 9. Check out what they had to say after the jump, and be aware that there might be some slight spoilers.

Executive Producers Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan Talk BONES and THE FINDER

by     Posted 2 years, 150 days ago

Already renewed for Season 8, the Fox drama series Bones returns in a new timeslot on Mondays with all-new episodes, starting with a very untraditional arrival of Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan’s (Emily Deschanel) baby daughter. In “The Prisoner in the Pipe,” a neighborhood is on edge when remains are found in the sewer, identified as a male fugitive who escaped from the penitentiary for financial fraud, and Booth and Brennan turn to an inmate for clues about the murder.

During this recent interview to promote the return of the show, executive producers Hart Hanson (who is also executive producer of The Finder) and Stephen Nathan talked about what it will be like for Booth and Brennan to work together and have a baby together, how they decide when a recurring character will come back for a specific episode, how the arrival of the baby will change things (or not) for the characters, the decision to skip over showing the development of the Booth and Brennan relationship before skipping straight to the pregnancy, what’s to come for the other characters, what might happen to the four stand-alone episodes that are in limbo with the shortened season, and whether other cast members might appear on The Finder, if that series gets another season.
