Sunday TV Ratings: Sunday Night Football Beats San Francisco’s World Series Win, ONCE UPON A TIME and THE MENTALIST Up

Sunday evening’s TV ratings are in.  Here’s a brief look at the highlights:

  • Sunday Night Football’s Saints/Broncos game earned 16.17 million viewers, besting the deciding game of the Giants/Tigers 2012 World Series, which netted just 15.5 million viewers.
  • ABC’s Once Upon a Time was up slightly from last week, earning a 3.4 rating in the 18-49 demo and 9.7 million viewers.
  • Also up was CBS’ The Mentalist, which scored a 1.8 rating and 10.1 million viewers for a gain of 20% from last week.

NBC Announces 2011-2012 Premiere Dates

Most of the other networks have already chimed in with their premiere dates for new and returning series for the 2011-2012 season, but today NBC has finally sent over their premiere schedule for the fall. Returning series include Parenthood, Chuck, Harry’s Law, The Office, Parks & Recreation and Community while new series include but are not limited to The Playboy Club starring Amber Heard, the fairytale driven Grimm, the new comedy series Whitney starring the hilarious stand-up comedienne Whitney Cummings and the remake of Prime Suspect with Maria Bello. NBC Announces Fall 2010 Premiere Dates

NBC has announced their premiere date schedule for fall 2010, kicking things off with television’s most-watched sport (football!) and games on the 9th and 12th.  Everything else drops the week of September 20-24.
