Columbia Pictures has released the first trailer for director Dennis Dugan’s comedy sequel Grown Ups 2. I hate myself for saying this, but I actually got a few chuckles out of the trailer. After you get past the deer piss, there are a couple of ridiculous cameos from Shaquille O’Neal and Andy Samberg that are nice throwbacks to the zany Adam Sandler movies of old. There’s also a nice flip on the “hot girl car trouble” scene from the first film. And believe it or not, this might be a role that Lautner was Taylor-made for (sorry).
Hit the jump to watch the trailer. The film stars also Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, Maya Rudolph, Nick Swardson and Patrick Schwarzenegger. Grown Ups 2 opens on July 12th.

While the 85th Academy Awards will honor the very best of what 2012 had to offer in film tonight, the opposite end of the spectrum (supposedly) has been singled out this morning. The Razzie Awards named The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 the Worst Picture of 2012, handing the film a total of seven awards including Worst Director for Bill Condon, Worst Screen Couple for Taylor Lautner and Mackenzie Foy, and Worst Actress for Kristen Stewart (she shared this award with her work in Snow White and the Huntsman). Though I’m not the biggest fan of the franchise, if you think Breaking Dawn – Part 2 was the worst film of 2012 then you need to see more movies; the pic almost kind of works because of Condon’s direction, not in spite of it, and the final battle scene is legitimately entertaining.
Elsewhere at the Razzies, Adam Sandler was named Worst Actor for That’s My Boy and Rihanna “won” Worst Supporting Actress for Battleship. Hit the jump to see the full list of winners.

As we await the 85th Academy Award nominations announcement on Thursday morning, we now have a look at the opposite end of the 2012 film spectrum. The 33rd Golden Raspberry Award nominations have been announced, celebrating the very worst of what 2012′s movie slate had to offer. Leading the pack is The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 with 10 nominations, as the film landed a nomination in every single category. The Twilight closer will go head-to-head with Battleship, A Thousand Words, That’s My Boy, and The Oogieloves in Big Balloon Adventure for the Worst Picture title.
It’s easy to beat up on the Twilight franchise, and even though I wouldn’t go so far as to call Breaking Dawn – Part 2 a good movie, it’s in no way the worst movie of the year. The sheer amount of beheadings alone in director Bill Condon’s climactic fight sequence is enough to make the movie worth watching. Anyway, hit the jump to check out the full list of Razzie Awards nominations.

It would be a gross understatement to say I haven’t been an ardent supporter of the Twilight franchise. But I have tried to take each film on its own merits. Nothing can change the fact that it has a despicable core message of how young women should relate to men, but there was always the potential for change. Bella Swan could become a proactive character. Edward Cullen and Jacob Black could be more than just brooding, softly smiling eye candy. Somewhere, in the dreamy clouds of wish fulfillment, there may be something real instead of the silliest, most forced conflicts. At the series’ conclusion, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 shows us what the Twilight movies could be at their best, but ultimately reminds us about the true nature of this series.

A new clip from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. We recently saw a clip from the film in which Kristen Stewart’s Bella was having fun with her new vampire powers, but this clip focuses on the character re-learning how to act human. Apparently it’s hard for vampires to control how awesome they are, so Bella has to consciously learn how to fake human things like blinking, slouching, and breathing. What a drag!

A new featurette and TV spot for the concluding chapter in the Twilight franchise, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, have been released. The TV spot doesn’t look like it includes any new footage, but the featurette provides a pretty cool look at the film’s big action effects and stunt work. A good deal of the featurette is also devoted to the cast trying to explain the ridiculous plot, which involves a governing group of vampires getting angry with Kristen Stewart’s Bella and Robert Pattinson’s Edward because they did the nasty and made a baby.
Hit the jump to check out the featurette and TV spot. Directed by Bill Condon, the film also stars Taylor Lautner, Mackenzie Foy, Peter Facinelli, Ashley Greene, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz and Jackson Rathbone. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 opens November 16th.

The film’s “forever” tagline is also present, as the poster threatens promises an “epic finale that will live forever.”

While the trailer we brought you last night for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 was all well and good, tonight we have the full final trailer for the epic conclusion to The Twilight Saga. While this version features the exact same amount of cougar tackling as the last one, fans will also be happy to see about forty-five seconds of new footage. The final trailer reveals more of the world’s vampires outside of Forks, the powers they possess and the punishment that awaits Bella and her coven should they fail.

A new trailer for the final entry in the Twilight franchise, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, has been released. If you’ve been waiting patiently to see Kristen Stewart viciously tackle a mountain lion, your moment has come. This trailer focuses on Stewart’s newfound vampire powers and sets up the major conflict in the film: the vampire government (cult?) the Volturi is angry because they think Bella and Edward created a vampire baby by biting a child, which is apparently frowned upon in the Twilight universe. As we all know, Renesmee is the fruit of some good old fashioned baby-makin’, but I guess instead of trying to sort out this misunderstanding, the two factions of vampires—and Jacob—decide it’s better to go to war. The drama and action levels look to have been upped considerably for this finale, and fans of the book series will likely be pleased with the results.

Four new images from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 have gone online. Like the majority of images we’ve seen from the upcoming film, these show Bella and her new family being happy as can be. At worst, the characters are looking at something disconcerting. Based on the images alone, it looks like the movie is shaping up to be an L.L. Bean catalog where strange things are happening off camera.
