Back in May, Comedy Central’s future slate revealed script development for a TV series adaptation of the 2005 indie comedy Waiting… starring Ryan Reynolds, Anna Faris and Justin Long. The Office Space in a chain restaurant mentality of the show seemed perfect for a half-hour comedy series, and now Deadline reports Comedy Central has finally greenlit a pilot for the potential series. Much like the film, the proposed series will follow the young and not so young employees at Shenaniganz restaurant as they gossip, make fun of customers, taint food and avert boredom and adulthood with their antics.  Each of the employees can’t seem to keep their personal life away from work as they grapple with sex, booze, and whether they are temporary or permanent fixtures in the restaurant world. No cast has been announced yet, but we’ll keep you posted.

Hit the jump on details for an intriguing new crime drama from producer Jamie Foxx and a new comedy series from one of the writers of Old School.

Starz CEO Chris Albrecht isn’t the only one working on a television mob drama these days: Jamie Foxx has spent the past two weeks filming a trailer for the potential series Tommy’s Little Girl.  The project revolves around a group of mobsters, including Paul Sorvino and Sopranos alum Tony Sirico.  According to Deadline, Selma Blair is on board as Sorvino’s daughter.  As indicated by the title, their relationship would anchor the overall narrative.  Currently in the editing bay, Foxx intends to shop the trailer to “top cable networks” once it is ready.

Oddly enough, Tommy’s Little Girl makes a trend of Foxx diving into projects trailer-first.  Foxx and Martin Lawrence plan to reprise their In Living Color characters Sheneneh and Wanda after filming the movie trailer parody Skank Robbers for the BET Awards, which you can check out after the jump.
