The first official poster has been released for Aaron Sorkin’s new HBO drama, The Newsroom. The series stars Jeff Daniels as the primary anchor of a failing 24-hour news network who is ready to break the monotony of cable news and go back to the roots of informing his audience. We already saw his character have a fantastic (and much publicized) outburst in the first trailer.  Then, The Newsroom followed up with a series of additional trailers that developed a bit more of the storyline and also introduced us to the rest of the cast:  such as Daniels’ character’s new executive producer (Emily Mortimer), his newsroom staff (John Gallagher, Jr., Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Dev Patel, Olivia Munn) and their boss (Sam Waterston).  Now, we have the first look at the official poster (in addition to some shorter trailers, in case you’ve missed the previous ones).  Hit the jump to check out the slick official poster for HBO’s The Newsroom, which debuts Sunday, June 24th at 10PM.

With Mark Addy and Sean Bean having their characters going with the gods last season, when the opening credits for Game of Thrones roll this time around, it’s Peter Dinklage, playing Tyrion Lannister, whose name comes up first, and it’s only appropriate as he is the strongest part of the first two episodes of the highly anticipated second season.  But that’s not to say the rest of the premiere is weak; far from it.  In fact, the second season is merely more of the same in the best way possible as it picks up almost immediately after the end of the first season as war begins between the Lannisters and the Starks and the stakes and drama have never been higher.  And along with all the familiar faces fighting for their families honor and respect amongst the rest of the kingdoms, there’s plenty of new characters to keep things interesting.  Read my full take on the second season premiere of Game of Thrones after the jump.

On FX’s Justified, actors Erica Tazel and Jacob Pitts play Deputy Marshal Rachel Brooks and Deputy Marshal Tim Gutterson, respectively. Populated with dirty politicians, hidden fortunes, a mysterious man named Limehouse (Mykelti Williamson) and an enterprising and lethal criminal from the Motor City (Neal McDonough), things are heating up for the law enforcement in Harlan, in Season 3 of the critically acclaimed, tightly written and expertly acted drama series.

While at the TCA Winter Press Tour, co-stars Erica Tazel and Jacob Pitts sat down with Collider for this exclusive interview about the journey their characters take this season, the new threats in Harlan, what has most surprised them about their characters, and how this show has spoiled them, when it comes to other work. On the AMC crime drama The Killing (premiering April 3), actress Mireille Enos (Big Love) plays Sarah Linden, a single mom and homicide detective with the Seattle Police Department, who is ready to walk away, marry her fiancé and move her life to Sonoma, Calif. But, when local teenager Rosie Larsen is found murdered, her determination to solve the crime and catch the killer becomes a compulsion, no matter the cost to herself and her family.

In this exclusive interview with Collider, show star Mireille Enos talked about what drew her to The Killing, taking on such a complex leading role, juggling new motherhood with a drama series, the excitement of getting the new scripts each week and learning what secrets are revealed, and her decision not to watch the original Danish series, Forbrydelsen, so as not to compare the two. I have no idea how you people interested in a movie not based on a franchise, starring giant blue aliens some people say look fake (I’m not one of them but I can their understand point), and the first film in twelve years from the director whose last film, “Titanic”, has not aged well.  Fox’s solution is that everyone who has their TV on Fox on Sunday will be aware of “Avatar”.  Having attempted “Avatar Day” back in August for the teaser trailer, on November 1^st Fox will go for the world record of the largest viewing of a trailer in history.  Hit the jump to learn that there is no escape.
