When last we reported on the development of the Vampire Academy adaptations, we were only half-way through the Twilight Saga.  Now, it looks like the first of six possible films is set up with stars Zoey Deutch (Beautiful Creatures) and Lucy Fry (Lightning Point) playing the leads of Rose and Lissa with Mark Waters (Mean Girls) directing from a Daniel Waters (Heathers) script.  Based on the best-selling young adult book series by Richelle Mead, Vampire Academy centers on half-human Dhampir bodyguards and their vampire charges who both train at St. Vladimir’s Academy.  The film treatment will also get the catchy new title of Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters in preparation for an ongoing franchise of adaptations.  Hit the jump for more.
