Screen Gems has released a new trailer for Takers which stars Matt Dillon, Paul Walker, Idris Elba, Hayden Christensen, Zoe Saldana, Jay Hernandez and Tip ‘T.I.’ Harris.  The movie is about a notorious group of bank robbers and their last job.   After watching the trailer, all I could think was Takers is like the McDonalds version of Heist.  Judge for yourself after the jump.

I’ll admit the cast has me interested…I just have a bad feeling that I’ll know all the twists and turns five minutes in….

Here’s the synopsis:

A notorious group of criminals continue to baffle police by pulling off perfectly executed bank robberies. They are in and out like clockwork, leaving no evidence behind and laying low in between heists. But when they attempt to pull off one last job with more money at stake than ever before, the crew may find their plans interrupted by a hardened detective who is hell-bent on solving the case.

    Weak! Such a lame film it looks like, and that shot toward the end where walker rams the truck into the ditch is straight out of 2003's Italian Job. I agree with you Steve. We'll probably know all the twist and turns early on. The poster doesn't help things too haha.

    What part of the cast has you interested, exactly? The crappy rappers turned so called actors (one of whom is a woman beater)? The one note surfer boy? Skinny Vader? Or the other D-listers? This looks like an absurdly awful film with a predictable story and bad acting. The only two people in this film even remotely talented in the acting department is Idris Elba, Michael Early, and Matt Dillon…unfortunately they're not exactly bankable. And then there's Zoe Saldana, the so called “it” girl who ironically was totally forgettable in Star Trek and unrecognizable in Avatar, and has since followed it up with two complete bombs….or make that three with this film. Yikes.
