"Takers" is a film that was completely off of my radar until just now. I think I only glanced at the film's title while doing some research through the "always reliable" IMDB and I've since completely forgotten about it until right now. Anyway, I don't know if you guys are anticipating it or not, but the film now has a trailer. If you haven't heard of it, it's about a group of bank robbers and it stars Idris Elba, Paul Walker, Matt Dillon, Chris Brown, Jay Hernandez, T.I. , and Hayden Christensen. The trailer makes the film seem pretty "meh" to me and it also gets some points taken off for featuring the "we walk away while an explosion goes off in the background" shot. Having said that, Idris Elba is the man and I might check it out just because I'm glad that he's becoming a leading man after his amazing work on the greatest television series of all time, "The Wire".

"Takers" is directed by John Luessenhop and will tell the story of a group of bank robbers who find their $20 million plan interrupted by a hard-boiled detective.  The film stars Idris Elba, Paul Walker, Matt Dillon, Chris Brown, Jay Hernandez, T.I. , and Hayden Christensen.  The film is currently set for an early 2010 release date.
