Hollywood Halloween 2015: Taylor Swift Gets ‘Frozen’, Rick Baker Brings the Joker to Life

Your store-bought Thor outfit might have looked pretty good at your friend’s Halloween party, and your homemade Frozen kids costumes were probably passable enough for the shadowy Trick-or-Treat walk around your neighborhood, but like most things, Halloween is better off left to the professional dresser-uppers. With that in mind, we’ve scoured the post-Halloween interweb to find the best examples of how Hollywood celebrities celebrated the holiday.

Sure, some of these looks are just attractive people looking good in recognizable getups, but a fair number of famous folks actually put some effort into their costumes. Multiple Oscar-winning special effects master Rick Baker decided to dress up his entire family as variations on The Joker theme, to great success. Queen of Halloween Heidi Klum went all-out to bring Who Framed Roger Rabbit’s femme fatale Jessica Rabbit to life. Taylor Swift and Idina Menzel also got in on the festive fun with a new take on the Frozen fandom. Check them out and more below.

Rick Baker’s Joker Family

Let’s kick things off with a look at Rick Baker and family all decked out as The Joker and his companions. Hat tip to Comicbook.com for the info and images. Here’s Baker himself as The Joker from Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s Death of the Family:

Baker’s wife Silvia got in on the act as The Joker’s companion Harley Quinn:

Then there’s the Bakers’ daughter Veronica, who channeled The Killing Joke’s version of The Joker for her costume:

Not to be left out, Baker’s other daughter Rebecca was made up to look like Heath Ledger’s Joker, while her boyfriend pulls off the rarely seen Gwynplaine, Conrad Veidt’s character in the 1928 film The Man Who Laughs

Taylor Swift’s ‘Frozen’ Holiday Concert

Taylor Swift’s Halloween concert featured a surprise guest in Idina Menzel, who arrived to sing a few lines from “Let It Go” decked out as Elsa, while Swift was dressed somewhat differently:

Heidi Klum’s Jessica Rabbit

Reigning “Queen of Halloween” Heidi Klum could have just thrown on a red dress, some lipstick, a wig, and high heels and few would have questioned her costume as that of Jessica Rabbit. However, that would be far too simple for Klum, who has become known for her increasingly elaborate Halloween preparations each year. For 2015, she took on a total body transformation, as evidenced in her Instagram posts below:
