You may not have asked for it, but Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is on the way. As announced today by Paramount, the first trailer will debut tomorrow as Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, and Leonardo swing back into action with Megan Fox as April O’Neil. Ahead of the debut, fans can get a first look at the new footage in addition to two of the new characters introduced in the sequel, Bebop and Rocksteady.

The studio unveiled the teaser for the teaser trailer with 14 seconds of footage. It begins with an electric portal opening in the sky as onlookers, including Laura Linney, stare in awestruck horror. “This is gonna be good,” says an excited Tyler Perry in his portrayal of mad scientist Baxter Stockman. Hmm. Now what other-worldly plain or “dimension” of existence do we know from the world of TMNT? Watch the footage below.

While their backs are turned to the camera, we do see our first look at classic TMNT villains Bebop and Rocksteady in their mutated forms. Gary Anthony Williams and WWE fighter Sheamus portray these characters, and both are featured in our first official looks at their pre-mutated forms. Both actors tweeted wanted posters that state Bebop and Rocksteady are being sought for evading police, grand theft, mayhem, and aggravated assault.

Even with classic characters coming into play this time around, it’s difficult to get pumped when the first film was so god awful. Then again, this was more a film for kids. Dave Green is directing the sequel, and he’s a big TMNT fan. So, hopefully he’ll do a better job honoring the franchise instead of the mess of CG and general lack of fun from Jonathan Liebesman.

Also featured among the TMNT 2 cast are Stephen Amell as vigilante Casey Jones, Brian Tee as Shredder, and Brittany Ishibashi as Shredder’s daughter Karai. TMNT 2 is scheduled for release on June 3, 2016. Check out the images below the links to some of our other recent coverage:
