The video game movie has long been the bastard step child of cinematic adaptations, often casting unknown talent before and behind the camera working from a script that someone wrote while they were writing 30 other things. Anyway, the trailer for new video game adaptation, Tekken, indicates that this will not be changing any time soon. It kinda looks like the trailer's editor was a big fan of the game, particularly the strategy of just mashing all the buttons on the controller and just hoping for the best. Though you do have to give the filmmakers of Tekken props for actually making a movie based on a fighting tournament game and actually featuring a fighting tournament in the film (I'm looking at you, STREET FIGHTER).
