TEKKEN Trailer Hits (and Kicks) the Web

The video game movie has long been the bastard step child of cinematic adaptations, often casting unknown talent before and behind the camera working from a script that someone wrote while they were writing 30 other things. Anyway, the trailer for new video game adaptation, Tekken, indicates that this will not be changing any time soon. It kinda looks like the trailer’s editor was a big fan of the game, particularly the strategy of just mashing all the buttons on the controller and just hoping for the best. Though you do have to give the filmmakers of Tekken props for actually making a movie based on a fighting tournament game and actually featuring a fighting tournament in the film (I’m looking at you, STREET FIGHTER).     never played Tekken but this looks dreadful, reminds me of Dead or Alive which was dreadful as well. Trailer concentrates on the action but looks like the story will be missing

    I was really looking forward to this being the break-through fighting game to movie adaptation. Seems like they are focused too much on including as many characters with the Tekken world when they should have centered it around the main characters(Jin Kazama and Heihachi). Do your research before releasing a final cut. Very dissapointed.

    This doesn't look nearly as bad as some others. Minimum acting and focus on the action. It could be ALOT worse.

    It doesn't even seems like these people who make this shit are trying anymore. I agree with k0rrupt this looks just as bad as Dead Or Alive. Not even worth watching drunked out at midnight. PASS

    And does anyone have proof that James Franco is in this? IMDB says he is but I doubt he's that desperate

    the trailer looks kick ass !!! yea .. but i'm sad about the fact that .. There's no paul, lee and lei in this film :( yoshimitsu looks really sick ;) i'm a tekken fan .. cant wait to watch the movie. And guys please dont compare this to DOD .. ? Dod was a documentary about women in bikinis :)
