Hollywood is turning to mobile games as the latest source for adaptation material.  One high-profile project already in the works is Angry Birds, but more recent news has Warner Bros. looking to adapt Temple Run with David Heyman attached as a producer.  The 2011 Imangi Studios mobile game centered on an explorer who stole an idol from a temple and, as a result, is endlessly chased by demonic monkeys.  While the studio is still in negotiations to bring the game to the big screen and the search is on for a writer, the story looks like it will stick pretty close to the plot of the game.  Hit the jump for more.

THR reported on Warner Bros. developing Temple Run with Heyman producing.  Heyman, who is best known for producing the Harry Potter film series, also produced their recent hit, Gravity, and is in talks to produce J.K.
