With Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) set to play Sarah Connor and John Clarke onboard as John Connor, producers are now looking to fill the role of Kyle Reese in the Terminator reboot Terminator: GenesisThor: The Dark World director Alan Taylor is set to helm what is envisioned as the first in a trilogy of Terminator films, and the pic is going big with regards to Terminator canon.  The studio first approached Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy) about filling the Kyle Reese role, but both actors apparently refused to read.  Now Paramount is focusing on casting a lesser known actor in the part, and word has come as to which actors will be testing for Kyle Reese next week.  Hit the jump to find out.

Per Variety, Jai Courtney (A Good Day to Die Hard), Boyd Holbrook (The Host), Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie), Sam Reid (Anonymous), and Tom Cocquerel will be testing for the role of Reese in Terminator: Genesis.  Of course Michael Biehn played the Kyle Reese role in the 1984 original film, and it’s clear that Paramount is going young to fill the part opposite 26-year-old Emilia Clarke.  Plot details for the redo are still under wraps, but Arnold Schwarzenegger is expected to reprise his iconic role and the film will be accompanied by a new TV series, which will tie into the overall mythology of the new trilogy.  With a release date of July 1, 2015 looming, expect to hear further casting information soon.
