Last week Paramount released a new Terminator Genisys trailer that gave away one of the film's twists. Not by accident or anything, they very deliberately looked at what they had and decided to give you more. Why? Not sure. It feels like the movie has a perception problem but I have no idea what the actual audience awareness level for it is. I don't know how it;s tracking. But it feels like they needed to throw something else at the audience because... well, they did.

These new Japanese clips really lean into that new information. If you choose to watch them you'll be seeing a lot of new footage, almost all of it centering around what was supposed to be an in-viewing reveal. That's not necessarily a bad thing, I haven't read the script so for all I know there will be more surprises coming. And I have hope about something else now... will we be seeing a young Bill Paxton make an appearance again? Seems slightly more possible now after viewing this footage. Check out the Terminator Genisys clips below. The film stars Emilia ClarkeJason ClarkeJai CourtneyArnold SchwarzeneggerJ.K. SimmonsByung-hun LeeMatt SmithDayo Okeniyi, and Courtney B. Vance. Directed by Alan Taylor, it hits theaters on July 1st.

Here’s the official synopsis for Terminator: Genisys:
