Jurassic World got Steven Spielberg's seal of approval and now James Cameron is doing the same for Terminator: Genisys. A new featurette for the film just surfaced in which Cameron recalls seeing the full feature at an early screening. Not only does he dub Genisys a "renaissance" and say that it reinvigorates the franchise, but he also calls it "the third film" of the series, even though it's really the fifth.

Terminator: Genisys is somewhere near the bottom of my "most anticipated of summer 2015" list, but hearing Cameron vouch for it does make me think it could be better than the promotional campaign suggests. A piece like this does feel a bit like a marketing ploy, but Cameron didn't do this for Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines or Terminator Salvation, so perhaps Genisys really is a standout installment.
