We’ve seen a still and some character artwork for Terminator: Genisys, so now Paramount is moving on to a motion poster. And do you know what comes next after that? The first official trailer from the film! Perhaps it isn’t fair to judge a movie based on images alone, but after those uninspired and rather odd EW shots, there’s a good deal of pressure on Paramount to deliver a wow-worthy first trailer for the film.
Hit the jump to check out the new Terminator: Genisys motion poster. The film is due in theaters on July 1, 2015 and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke, Matt Smith, Byung-Hun Lee and JK Simmons.
The trailer doesn’t hit the web until Thursday, but this motion poster actually serves as a solid piece of promotional material to hold us over until it arrives. To be honest, it took me a quick moment to realize that the sand effect was meant to mimic a sand timer, probably representing both a countdown for the trailer release and the time jump in the movie, but regardless, the image is strikingly crisp and the background music is quite rousing, too.
Be sure to check back for the Terminator: Genisys trailer on Thursday, December 4th, but for now, here’s the motion poster via TerminatorMovie.com:
