Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions have released a new Terminator: Genisys TV spot that features a lot of new footage. While many are rightfully wary of the new Terminator film, I have to admit the effects on display in this new trailer are rather impressive. We also get our first look at J.K. Simmons’ character, who appears to be someone in the vein of Miles Dyson who is enlisted by Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) to help “stop the end of the world.” Of course there’s also a good look at the new new Terminator, played by Byung-hun Lee, who appears to have a full bag of tricks up his sleeve, and if you’re in the mood for more Arnold Scwarzenegger vs. Arnold Scwarzenegger action, this is the TV spot for you.

Check out the new Terminator: Genisys TV spot below, which initially premiered on Yahoo!. Directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World) film also stars Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke, Matt Smith, Dayo Okeniyi, and Courtney B. Vance. Terminator: Genisys opens in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on July 1st.

Here’s the official synopsis for Terminator: Genisys:

When John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline. Now, Sgt. Reese finds himself in a new and unfamiliar version of the past, where he is faced with unlikely allies, including the Guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger), dangerous new enemies, and an unexpected new mission: To reset the future…
