The first The Age of Adaline trailer has landed online for director Lee Toland Krieger’s (Celeste & Jesse Forever) fantasy romantic drama.  The film stars Blake Lively as a woman who suffers a near-fatal accident in the 1930s that renders her immortal.  She embarks on an epic, isolated journey, keeping her secret, but must watch her own daughter grow old (Ellen Burstyn) as she is forced to continually strike up relationships and then quickly cut ties.  The central concept of the story has been seen before, but this actually looks like a really visually arresting film.  The colors seem to pop, and I’m especially curious to see a film in which the immortal character maintains a relationship with her family.

Check out the Age of Adaline trailer after the jump.  The film also stars Harrison Ford and Michiel HuismanThe Age of Adaline opens in theaters on April 24, 2015.
