Our first look at the logos for The Avengers 2, Thor 2 and Captain America 2 have landed online, as well as a new logo for Iron Man 3.  The logos were unveiled during a presentation at Ciné 2012 in Riccione, and a timeline for Disney’s theatrical releases also provides further evidence that the Cars spinoff Planes may be headed to theaters after all.  Initially planned for a direct-to-DVD release, a poster from last week hinted that the film could be headed to theaters.  Here’s a brief rundown of the development statuses for the Marvel films:

  • Iron Man 3 – Directed by Shane Black, opening in theaters on May 3rd, 2013.
  • Thor 2 – Directed by Alan Taylor, opening in theaters on November 8th, 2013.
  • Captain America 2 – Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, opening in theaters on April 4th, 2014
  • The Avengers 2 – No director or release date has yet to be announced.

      • You don’t have to profess your allegiance to MARVEL, Satan . . . . We all know you’re the real reason why all those god awful movies have been such a success.

      • No no no quit acting like your above any standard when it comes to judging a movie. The avengers is a popcorn action movie you idiot its not trying to be a dark knight and I guess if anyone is to blame for making these ‘awful’ movies successful I guess you have to blame um the world? Please stop trying to be Mr I hate everyone this site already had Matt Goldberg and he even likes the avengers

      • Shut up Satan,u haven’t appeared since End of Days.still sitting behind the keyboard all these while?

      • I’m with Satan, what a twat, and Iron man 1 was really not that good. Iron man 2 was better, as was Thor and of of course Avengers. The only one that was worse was Captain America, which was crap.

I will now wait for the Iron Man 1 delusionists to start there rant, which be the way is wrong in advance.

  1. cars was bad enough thank you very much and I think they’re missing Frozen whichi will come out on November 2013

  2. Please don’t let them release planes in theaters. Pixar’s already lost enough credibility, if people learn this exists, it’ll kill them.

  3. Super heroes are fun and in general the movies are enjoyable escapism.
There are some darker movies like “The Dark Knight” which I believe captured the essence of some of the darker aspects of the Batman character.
Yes, I believe we can overdo the superhero genre but I believe it will always keep coming back and is therefore here to stay. I also believe that the reason for this is that deep within are psyche we desire a saviour or even want to be one ourselves and these superheroes are a type of representation of our psyches desires. Therefore as long as the movies are reasonably well made and have a decent character driven plot the audiences for those movies will always be there, there may be the odd glitch, especially if there is the odd really bad superhero movie (Halle Berry’s cat woman) but overall the desire is there by most people for these movies and of course we each have our favourites, I would like to see the less well known character of DC comics Creeper get a movie.

  4. How can they make Captain America 2? He got sunk into the ocean and there isn’t much else that you could say.
