With Marvel releasing a kick-ass new trailer for The Avengers this morning, I decided to screengrab my favorite 40 images from the 1080p version of the trailer.  That means the images are the best they can look.  And even though the trailer gives away a lot of the movie, there is no way any fan of Marvel movies won't be counting the days till May 4.  After all, the dream of having our favorite superheroes in one movie, fighting side by side, is only two months away! Also, while I'm excited to see Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) fighting aliens together, I'm more excited to see what director Joss Whedon has done with the dialogue scenes.  The way these characters interact with one another is what will make or break this movie, not how cool are the action scenes.  Thankfully, the trailer looks like he nailed it. Hit the jump for the images. Here’s the synopsis for The Avengers:
