Come to Collider for communication about casting for a couple of comedies:

  • Michael Stahl-David, Sara Paxton, Zach Cregger, and Addison Timlin will star in the indie romantic comedy The Bounceback.
  • Maggie Elizabeth Jones and Mary-Charles Jones, the adorable sisters from Footloose, will play the daughters of Jason Bateman and Amanda Peet in Identity Theft.

More on both projects after the break.

Per Deadline, The Bounceback centers on "two former couples that end up in Austin, Texas on the same emotionally fraught weekend."  Bryan Poyser will direct; Trace Sheehan, Megan Gilbride, Ross Dinerstein, and Kevin Iwashina are producing.  Filming is scheduled to begin later this month.

John Cho, Clark Duke, and Kevin Covais are also on board for Identity Theft, and Variety teases that other "high-profile cast members" will soon be announced.  The latest draft from Craig Mazin (The Hangover Part II) centers on a man (Bateman) whose life falls apart after his identity is stolen: "When he corners the perpetrator (Melissa McCarthy), he gets a wake-up call he wasn't expecting."  Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) is directing Identity Theft for release on May 10, 2013.  The cast and premise are already appealing---I am eager to hear more about these mystery stars.
