Earlier today a handful of films were added to the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival line-up, and one of which is the latest from Win Win director, Tom McCarthy, a comedy called The CobblerAdam Sandler leads as a guy named Max Simkin, a disillusioned shoe repairman who happens upon a magical heirloom that allows him to step into the lives of his customers and see things from their perspective.

With the film now locked to make its world premiere in the Special Presentations program, two The Cobbler images have hit the web.  We don’t have the official schedule just yet, but the film will screen at some point during the festival’s September 4th – 14th run.  In the meantime, hit the jump for those two images.  The Cobbler also stars Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Ellen Barkin, Melonie Diaz, Dan Stevens, Fritz Weaver, Yul Vazquez, Steve Buscemi and Dustin Hoffman.

Max Simkin repairs shoes in the same New York shop that has been in his family for generations. Disenchanted with the grind of daily life, Max stumbles upon a magical heirloom that allows him to step into the lives of his customers and see the world in a new way. Sometimes walking in another man’s shoes is the only way one can discover who they really are. Starring Adam Sandler, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Ellen Barkin, Melonie Diaz, Dan Stevens, Fritz Weaver, Yul Vazquez, Steve Buscemi and Dustin Hoffman.
