A new clip from director Ridley Scott’s upcoming drama The Counselor has been released online.  The script by Cormac McCarthy (author of The Road and No Country for Old Men) centers on an attorney (Michael Fassbender) who teams with Reiner (Javier Bardem) to sell $20 million worth of cocaine.  In this new clip, we see Fassbender and Bardem’s characters trying to figure out a solution to a problem that the two have encountered.  The cast is certainly fantastic and a script by McCarthy bodes well, but I still really have no idea what the film is about.  Here’s hoping Scott’s finished feature delivers.

Hit the jump to watch the clip.  The film also stars Brad Pitt, Dean Norris, Rosie Perez, John Leguizamo, Natalie Dormer, and Goran Visnjic.  The Counselor opens on October 25th. [Update: We've added a collection of character posters and a second clip to the article after the jump.]
