A new poster for The Dark Knight Rises has gone online, and it’s considerably more colorful than the previous posters we’ve seen for the concluding chapter in Christopher Nolan’s Batman series.  Granted, the color comes from the fire of a burning and collapsing building, but it’s at least different enough from the black and white/greyscale of the previous one-sheets.  I’m assuming this is the final poster for the film, but I could very well be wrong.  I’m a bit more partial to the Batman/Bane standoff poster, but this “fire” poster isn’t terrible.

Hit the jump to check out the poster.  The film stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, and Joseph Gordon-LevittThe Dark Knight Rises opens on July 20th.

Be sure to check out the six character posters for the film that were recently released.

For comparison, here’s the first poster that was released for the film.  Could Nolan and Co. be trying to tell us something, or are they just playing on the “burning batsignal” motif from The Dark Knight again?  Or, as Matt Goldberg points out, is Batman just really bad at noticing destruction behind him?
