Say hello to the first powerful piece of promotional material for The Divergent Series: Insurgent.  That teaser of Tris (Shailene Woodley) riding the burning building was downright bizarre and the film’s first full trailer didn’t really help put that scene into context or sell the sequel as a compelling continuation of the events from the first film, but this new featurette actually does.

Just because the cast and crew describe the transition from Divergent to Insurgent in an interesting, compelling manner certainly doesn’t guarantee the full feature will be any good, but if some of these ideas do make it to screen as described, there’s a chance it could successfully open up this world.  Hit the jump to check out the new Insurgent featurette.  The film is due in theaters on March 20th and also stars Theo James, Octavia Spencer, Zoë Kravitz, Ansel Elgort, Mekhi Phifer, Naomi Watts and Kate Winslet.
